The Wii is missing out on some great games because of its outdated hardware.....

Ever since the big N released the new Gamecube v1.2, its limited hardware has been the burden of missing out on a lot of big games of last year and this year. I think its a bad idea relying on the same ol' tiredfranchises ( Super Mario Whore, Metroid, andZelda) to keep the console going. While PS3 and 360 owners enjoy the upcoming bigGTA4, MGS4, Killzone 2,Burnout Paradise, Bioshock, COD4, Halo3, etc, Wii owners are left with Super Mario rehash 64, 90% shovel ware all in glorious 480p.

Last time I checked, I play "quality games" not "sales".....

You too are missing aswell. Zelda, Mario, Metroid, SSBB are as good as your 3rd party games, if not better. Why are Wii owners are the ones missing? Because they don't have just shooters?

Hahaha! Looks like theres lots of hate in you.

Pretty much all the 360/PS3 games you posted were sequals/rehashes themselves. Also, remember last gen? Nintendo had better hardware than the PS2, did it get all the great 3rd Party games? No. Yet the system still carried itself for it's owners and ended up having 3 GOTYs. You act as if sheep honestly care if their games are rehashed. So what? If it's a good rehash it's fine isn't it? Seriously who the hell only has one gaming platform? I mean honestly? There's no such platform that can catter to all of a gamers needs. I own a Wii, DS, PS2, PSP, & Gaming PC.

And to the topic, I don't know about you but I'm not intrested in new watered down installments of my favorite franchises.

yes, its too bad, i am incapable of buying more than one console. seriously, there's a magic troll sitting outside my house, and he won't let me go to Best Buy. oh wait, there's not. oh, and here's a 360 for me right here. guess i get to play all the games i want, including Nintendo's fantastic 1st party offerings.

btw, casual games do not necessarily equal shovelware.

if all the super mario games r rehashes then what do u call the halo series, is halo 3 really different than halo 1 or 2? or the gta series. cod4 is pretty much the same as its predecessors except got a modern skin. im pretty sure burnout paradise will b just like all its other predecessors.

But you have to give it to Nintendo. Being able to getaway re-selling the GameCube twice, and have people actually want it, it's one hell of an achievment, considering how the GameCube did.Panzer_Zwei

You go on to say that nintendo is relying on its same old franchises, yet you mentioned games that can fall under the same boat -- GTA4, MGS4, Burnout paradise is like the 5th one, COD4, Halo 3, etc.

Agreed. GTA and MGS aren't as old as Nintendo's franchises, but still old.

I'd repsect your opinion if you didn't resort to flaming the Wii aimlessly. Yes it might have great games, but a lot of the really nice ones are exclusives or would probably not even make it to the console because of the controller. I mean Bioshock would rock on Wii, but would it ever get there? Judging by it not going to PS3, I'd say no.rolo107

Bioshock could come to the ps3 if the makers wanted it to. If the 360 could handle the game then the ps3 definitely can. That game couldnt come to the wii even if nintendo pays billions for it. And besides you sheeps probably wont buy the game unless they replace all the big daddies and little sisters, with ponies and bunny rabbits and mushroom powerups and those cute little cats you see in other nintendo games.

I know you guys want to say graphics dont matter, and yeah sometimes it doesnt. But nintendo needs to stop being cheap and invest in real hardware cause in the future while the cows and lemmens and hermits are playing real 3d and maybe even 4d games, you guys will still be stuck with some Mushroom collecting, rabbit hunting, pony rearing, cat feeding, dog shedding games...and those other barbie island princess games they keep making!!!!
