The Wii is okay but....

using sales as a reason as to why its better than 360 or PS3 is crazyness.  The Wii remote is already losing its coolness factor to me since I got it for christmas.  After you've used the wiimote in all the varieties of ways it can be used such as shooting, slicing, steering etc a few times it really does become a novelty and is just another 5 years of GameCube.  It doesnt do anything either of the other two next-gen systems can.  Shoddy Graphics, Non-HD Capabilities, Lacking multimedia features, nearly non-existant online service with god awful friends codes and less-than-stellar sound quality really make it feel old already.

Just because 10,000 Moms in Toms River, New Jersey purchased it doesnt mean its more fun than 360 or PS3.  If the "New-Gen" is going to defeat the "Next-Gen" then call me a loser because a AA Battery devouring GameCube is not going to be my primary means for gaming. 

Cooking Mama only goes so far people.  By no means am I saying analog sticks are NEW or anything of that sort.  Nor am I saying the Wii will NEVER have good games. Its worth owning for those 1st party titles, but from a technical and hardware standpoint....Its really like paying for a new last-gen system in a new plastic cover.

I agree but it's not the controller. It's the games. I know I shouldn't have gotten a Wii until tons of games came out but I couldn't help myself. Now I'm just playing with my DS since I got tons of games on it. I'll have to wait for the Wii to bust out Metroid Prime 3 and Super Paper Mario (which is near) before I can start to enjoy it.linkhero1

Like every generation it's all about the games.  If the developers can find new and exciting ways to use the Wiimote then people will continue to buy the game system. 

It's just like every other generation.  The good thing in this scenario is that Nintendo has already sold a ton of systems and is continuing to do so.  The third party support is coming on strong and in turn they will get some really creative and exciting games.
