It's selling because it's fun.:|VGobbsesser
Twilight Princess, Trauma Center, WarioWare, Monkey Ball, and Rayman say different.
Or are you forgetting the fact that a game on the Wii's virtual console owns the entire PS3 lineup right now?

The PS3 is not selling because it's too expensive.
And no other reason *cough* RahnAetas
The PS3 is not selling because it's too expensive. That's actually makes sense, and not bashing the PS3 no other then it's price tag.
And no other reason *cough* RahnAetas
Its a fad, Gamecube had great sales at the start of last gen but we all know that stopped. The same thing will happened to the Wii. By 2008 the sales of the Wii will be decreasing while the sales of Xbox 360 and PS3 will be increasing. It will be to the point the only good games will be during the holiday season.Shadow2k6GCN never had this much success

DS. Cough cough.
[QUOTE="web966"]Then why didnt the Gamecube sell?nmahargNot cheap enough. Or rather the PS2 was cheap enough. If the PS3 was say 350-400 do you really think it would still have sold less than the wii? Wii would still probably sell more. People arent buying it just because its cheaper, the wiimote and wii sports is selling alot of wiis.

But little kids/mid teens, love games. But mommy and daddy rather pay 250, than 500-600 any day.

Handhelds....
Nintendo always had great sales with handhelds but they didn't really have great sales with consoles since SNES. Plus some of the garbage there coming out for the Wii is leading me to think the momentum will last. I mean really who in their right mind would play Cooking Mama: Cook off for the Wii? Not me. Too much games for non-gamers not enough games for hardcore gamers....
[QUOTE="VGobbsesser"]It's selling because it's fun.:|nmahargRight..... LOL :) the wii is very cheap and hard to find which automatically makes it a must have Item. I have one... don't play it very much but it makes a nice paper weight...
[QUOTE="cakeorrdeath"]There are a multitude of reasons why the console is selling well. Price is merely one.nmahargFor certain people I agree, but for the majority I would have to disagree. I don't see how the Wii could ever be a cheep 360/PS3. Please explain...

Because it is cheap and has a lot of fun games, and can change videogames as we know them so that they are a lot better, and for the virtual console games... :|Hungry_Homer111

Prior to Wii they owned no consoles and didn't even play games, unless you count solitare
