The Wii U NEEDS to have an trophy/gamerscore system...

and they can take advantge and make trophy hunting have an real purpose...they can let you collect wii u points which yon can spend in the Wii U market or on avatars, free games extra content,youcould even swap your wii u platinums/1000gs for REAL MONEYetc..

There is no reason for the Wii not to have a trophy system other then them being lazy and stupid and behind the times.

So people wouldnt even buy a game without trophys so if the reward was real it would sell more copies and games.

They're not going to give a way free stuff because you killed 10 million Goombas on Mario.. You realize how easy some achievements are to get right.. They wont make money that way.. :\ And I doubt they would give a way free money for challenging chievos either. Achievements are not ment to have some greater incentive, you just get them for either bragging rights or because you feel like it.

Does personal achievement account for anything anymore? There's nothing wrong with trophies and achievement points, but they're nothing more than a shallow gimmick in the end. I admit I used to hunt them for a while, but that got old fast.

It would be sorta cool if getting all the achievements or something got you a special avatar/background/title or whatever. Other than that, I don't care.

I'd love a system like that on the wii-u. Thats kind of what Mario3d Land did with the secret ( dont want to spoit anything ) at the end of that game. Trophies were the only reason I played Uncharted 3 three times, otherwise it would had been a one playthrough never touch again, I had lots of fun with a friend getting those trophies.
