Where's this inovative gameplay we keep hearing about. All the Wii keeps getting are shooters on rails which went out with arcades in the 90's and rehashes of gamecube games. Not one 3rd party developer has given Nintendo a decent game. I haven't played a 3rd party game on Wii I liked since Resident Evil 4. No one has givenNintendo that kind of effort since the Gamecube.

My Wii has been collecting dust since I finished Mario Galaxy the month it came out. Don't tell me about the other gameson Wii because I know garbage when I see it. I have other systems and they have 3rd party games that blow anything 3rd party on Wii away. I guess I should except the fact that the only good games on a nintendo system are first party titles and they are few and far between.

Since the last Zelda Naughty Dog is going onthier second game release. If Nintendo can't get 3rd party support they need totake some of thier new found fortune and create some studios. The amount of time betweenNintendo games is rediculous.

The wiimote technology is new and developers aren't used to it yet.

Yes they are, it's just that the Wii has crap hardware and why develop for something that isn't stronger than the original xbox? It's an overclocked gamecube.

Since the GC, you have ONLY liked RE4. That alone says something to your own definition of what's inovative on Nintendo.

If you could read I never said re4 was inovative. The wiimote is just another controller the problem is the games that are created for the wii.

wii isn't that profitable for 3rd paty devs to comit full teams and resources to make a wii game. look at the conduit didn't sell all that well so why put all that funding into a game that less than half a million people will play

Its more expensive to incorporate motion controls into a game as opposed to better graphics/special effects (Wii lacking in that department so...)

Expensive + new technology no one's used before + conservative developers = Wii ignored

Eh, the motion controls aren't even that advanced, it was innovative for the time, but you shouldn't be expecting 1:1, even with Wiimotion+

From the scores it recieved the conduit wasn't all that great to begin with. Maybe if the a developer put some effort into it poeple like me would buy the games.

Until M+ came out, the Wiimote was merely a new way to push buttons. It was not innovative. And even with M+, no one is making an effort to make new games around the new idea... they are merely making new ways to play old games.

Is that why nobody wants to develop for DS?

With sentences like that how could anyone read you? :| The games that are created for the wii are not so different than games on the other systems? Yikes. Where have I been? All I am saying is this garbage to you is their innovation.

There's not much innovation in videogames these days on any platform.

I find most the good-great Wii games are innovative.

Almost zero PS3 games use the cell or bluray to any effect.

Nearly no games have 1080i resolutions.

He's right. Really games haven't "evolved" that much. But do they have to? No. They're games.

There's a lot of games that use it greatly. Mercury Meltdown, Warioware, The Conduit etc.

Let me get this straight: From the 50+ quality games on the Wii, you have played a little handful, yet feel like commenting on the entire library?

Huh. Very interesting, Mr. Oreo. Very fascinating.

foxhound_fox

This.

The problem is that the traditional controller is superior to motion control.
