The Wii's Graphics, Horrible?

Since the Wii came out, the graphics have'nt been so good, and the 360/PS3's graphicshave looked better. I know gaming is not all about graphics, but is'nt it going to get boring of seeing the same graphics over and over again with no improvement?

In the future, the Wii could get improvements in graphics, and probably will, but will it ever be at the same scale with 360 and PS3 games? Or is the best graphics we can see in a Wii game is Super Mario Galaxy?

No.... The wii will never come close to Gears of war, it'll get alittle better but you'll only notice it in nintendo games.

Because it won't reach the level of some of the best looking games this means it's graphics are horrible?

Nintendo already has stated they will be up to par.

Right now the Wii needs to concentrate on meeting Xbox 1 standards. Worry about that first and lets not mix up prioirtiesPhoebusFlows

This generation there's no way it could produce Gears-quality graphics. The hardware just isn't strong enough. I think next generation it'll be on par with the other systems. Nintendo has the casual audience and now if they want to get the hardcore crowd they'll need to match the competitors' tech. Even if Wii 2 doesn't catch up to the PS4 and Xbox 720, the difference between Nintendo's graphics and everyone else's won't be as big.

The Wii easily has more power then the first xbox its just a different method of making it work with newer games coming out and improved engines you can see the wii produce the same effects 360 and ps3 can do on a lesser scale but still look really good Nintendo789

Not quite sure about Uncharted, but among the two examples, Wii graphics have certainly already surpassed those of Gears of War. Besides, it's not exactly logical to debate such a thing. Saying that Wii has ugly graphics is like saying that (analogy) Stratocasters have fragile strings. A game will have whatever appearance the particular developer wants it to.NBSRDan

The Wii has better grafix than PS360, that's why it sells so much (As of this writing you need to combine the PS3 and 360 Users together to even rival the Mighty Wii Console sales.).

In the end, the install base of the Wii will overcome all other consoles by a great magnitude, and History will be rewritten by those same Wii Users. So, you may as well admit defeat now, even with your "facts".

In 20 years, no one will remember PS3 or 360, Just Wii...and everyone will remember that the Wii had the best Graphics.

The Legion of Wii Users will rewrite history as "Wii" see "Fit"!

Even suggesting that the Wii can produce graphics significantly better than what it produces is silly. Hardware wise the Wii is closer to the GC than the PS3/360. This is not necessarily a bad thing, but it does mean that graphics are never going to reach the level of AAA Ps3/360 games ...

It can already do better than Galaxy.

I think Blade Runner still looks better than 95% of movies Hollywood craps out today. Hell, it looks better than any recent Ridly Scott film (same director), and they were filmed with extremely dated equipment and "rudimentary" technics by todays standards.

Yeah, I love BladeRunner...But isn't that Last Pic right there from the Blu-Ray release?

In other words, that picture and technology didn't look like that in 1982.

I do agree though, it is all about the talent, for any of the machines, but when Talent and Technology combine, it's even better.

The hand with that ball thing is clearly low poly and doesn't fit in with the rest of the picture.

I have a wii and ps3, and the ps3 doesn't get any play because
1 wii games actually make me laugh
2 i can almost get 2 wii games for the price of 1 ps3 game
3 the most interesting games on ps3 are downloadable titles but sony doesn't offer europe a payment method
4 the ps3 controls are horrid for FPS compared to my wii/pc and that is its main focus sadly

I admit that sometimes, just sometimes, i buy a game because i just want to be blown away by the visuals and stuff.
That's pretty cool. And i do want Heavy Rain and Brutal Legend so it will get more play.
But honestly, the graphics don't make the games one bit better, they actually seem to make the games worse because they turn out to be so 'normal'.
The usual, in a new coat. What i really dislike is when You just press a button and a whole action movie sequence takes over, or some other form of exegerated graphical showboating. It is so fake, and instead of being fun it is just made to impress. It completely blows the experience for me.
