The Witcher 2 vs Skyrim vs Dark Souls?

Which one of these looks more promising and why?

Skyrim>Witcher 2>Dark Souls

Although I have nothing against dark souls. I think all 3 will be FANTASTIC.

I see burned man from the video! (the last patch makes my and many others' nv crash it's unplayable anymore :/ and there are another 2 or 3 dlcs for nv...)

... I assume Skyrim without mod will be the last. Not sure which would be better out of the two. I voted witcher 2 anway.

Why,

Improved spiritual sequel to a great RPG with revolutionary online play.

And of those 3, will have the better polished combat system

The Witcher 2 holds the most promise out of all three. I don't know which will end up being the best, but right now I'm more interested in The Witcher than I am in The Elder Scrolls or Dark Souls. Although I'm more than likely going to end up playing all three anyway.

For me its Dark Souls > Skyrim > The Witcher 2 right now, but that could all easily change. All three look great, I know that much. :)

Skyrim. The sequal to what is still my favorite RPG to this day. But I wanna get all 3+ Guild Wars 2

cuz I cant play it. But really i'd still probably rate it this way, Demons Souls is amazing and i've never played an Elder Scrolls game but I want to and Skyrim looks like a good starter.

Tough competition between Skyrim and Dark Souls , both GOTY material .

The Witcher 2. Modern Bethesda games are overrated pieces of **** and I'll have to buy a console to play Dark Souls.

The Witcher 2, but I'm getting all 3. The only one I have reserves about is Skyrim because Oblivion kind of sucked.

Dark Souls is a joke, I personally don't see why it deserves to be amongst such great games. All it did was introduce some hard gameplay and people went all crazy in the first game.


Skyrim, well I think we know too little right now but I really liked Oblivion and so I think Skyrim definitely hold a lot of potential.

The Witcher 2, is coming out in two days and that is why I will vote for this one, not only do it seem to be a really major rpg, from the few reviews that are out, it looks like it's holding up to the epic expectations of the fans.

Dark Souls will have the most fun and challenging gameplay. Thought Demon's Souls was hard enough and if this is even MORE difficult then count me in.

Skyrim is another Elder Scrolls game with many improvements, can't say much but it will be a definite buy.

The Witcher 2 will be an awesome rpg experience and it's out tomorrow!!!!!! aaaaaaah

So in my opinion, they're all great games not worth comparing because I'll be playing them all and having fun!

Agreed. Does not really fit in the same category with the other 2, good game nonetheless.

Since the predicessors are raked in order of quality ane enjoyability like this,

Demon's Souls>>>>>>>TW>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Oblivion

and since there sucessors all look to vastly upgrade from the previous games it will probably be like this,

Dark Souls>>>Heaven and Earth>>>>TW2>>>>>>>Pea Soup>>>>>>>Skyrim

Has anyone seen more then 3 seconds of continuous gameplay for skyrim? lol all the developers did was showa bunch of prerendered videos and people got excited.

There's nothing wrong prefering action-RPGs to traditional RPGs, but I prefer interaction, story, dialogs, non-linearity, exploration, choice.

It is either:

The Witcher 2 > Skyrim > Dark Souls

OR

Skyrim > The Witcher 2 > Dark Souls

but I am leaning towards the first one, although I honestly don't know. I will have to see :P.

PS - I am hyping Dragons Dogma to be better than them all, or at least up there with the best of the three. Diablo III will be the best though :P.

Man I'm surprised TW2 is taking eating the poll up. Nothing against the game, I just never thought the following was that strong.

For me Dark Souls is a must play with Skyrim at a close second. I'll give The Witcher 2 a go eventually.

I have reservations about Skyrim, since Oblivion was such a massive piece of s***.

I love Demons Souls, but Dark Souls sounds like it is trying too hard to be more difficult. I'll wait and see on that one.

I say it has the best gameplay this gen because you can go thru Demon's Souls multiple time and use diffrentvariations of weapons abilities and tactics to traverse thru the game.

the shelds and armor, what you chose to equip or not equip, the magic, completly changes how the game is played. There is weight and physics applied to everything you use andyou will have to factor that in to how you play the game as well. There is a funtional block doge and perry mechanic, Critical hit points depening on perry block or sneeking up on enemies.And there there is the soul tendency and world tendency, loltherearen't very may if any gmes this gen to compaire to the gameplay of demon's souls sorry.and there is no "guideline" on how you have to use anything.

without a doubt Demon's Souls has the deepest most well thoughtout and polished gameplay mechanic of this gen.
