It seems everything is getting downgraded or are we getting our hopes up too much.
This topic is locked from further discussion.
It's too late..............to..........................apologize. Plus I think this was the second downgrade.
A leaked Neogaf thingy implied CDP are full of shit.
I've been saying this for years. They are pure hyperbole and many people just buy into there shit. Very overrated developer.
Also trying to charge £49.99 on steam; fuckoff.
This has to be the Xbox One version. CDPR isn't one to bullshit. The footage they showed at E3 was the PC version.
I hope that's not what it looks like on PC. Even Dragon Age Inquisition looks far better, and it has more content than what I foresee any Witcher game having.

You can't imagine an unreleased game having more content than a released game? Okay.
I think people have unrealistic expectations. With CD projekts budget, I doubt the game will look better then other AAA games.

TW2 was one of the best-looking games when it was released
The best part was when the Polish guy tried to get the audience to cheer for Geralt and no one had a fucking clue who it was.

CD Projeckt already said that The Witcher 3 will be about as long as the previous games.

Do they mean the main story or all the content in the game? Because TW2's main story is still pretty long.

They said that an average playthrough would be 50 hours. I'm assuming that includes lots of side content along with the main story.

i'm pretty sure they said the story would take 50 hours and the side content would add another 100 on top of that.

About as big as Dragon Age: Inquisition? I seriously have my doubts, but whatever.

From what they've shown The Witcher 3's world seems to be mostly seamless, with areas not being separated by loading screens. The game being bigger than DA:I doesn't seem inconceivable to me.

It's hard to fill any game world with 100+ hours of content. Even DA:I has moments of filler with it's quests. Considering the budget and size of CD projeckt, I have my doubts.
To everyone saying this is just the console version...really? Why would they use the inferior version for a trailer? Use your heads.

Man...yeah that does look worse than before.
That thread on their forums has reached 93 pages in under 24 hours.
Where's the downgrade? Looks the same as all the other footage.
Because Youtube can make a game look like its got low res textures....
People actually believe that.
What if at the end DA:I look better than TW3 even on consoles... now that would be sad
would it be? DAI is divided into many seperate areas wheras TW3 is one big open world. Even if they have roughly the same visual fidelity that would be an impressive feat for CD Project.

separated in different areas or not, those areas are huge so yeaa.
@clyde46 It's true , Youtube compression makes games look bad when it comes to the overall fidelity , it's a know fact lol
Compression is one thing but what you are saying is flat out wrong. The video clearly shows low res textures...
I don't really see a texture issue. To me it's more like a lack of proper shaders and lighting effects. It's all pretty flat. That could definitely be due to compression too, though.

Then why would they downgrade it to show us inferior footage in the first place.
I was afraid of this... one, because they said they wanted to make the game bigger than Skyrim and two, the leak from NeoGAF which said that they were rushing this game out.
Despite all this, (and I know at this point, it may sound like wishful thinking) I hope the game is good.

comparing budget for most games to a studio in eastern europe....what a genius

Cause people wouldn't know the difference. Hell I'm pretty sure Companies use Console version all the time on trailers.

TW2 had production values rivaling the Dragon Age games. You guys make CDPR out to be a group of three people working in a garage with a desktop running Windows 98.
