The PS4 version will run at 900p/30fps while the Xbox One version will run at 720p/30fps. What’s also interesting is that the console versions of the game will meet the minimum graphics settings of the PC version.Source.

Loco by name loco by nature.
Considering we're a little under a year away from release, I won't be putting any stock into this rumor. Hell, even the PC requirements mentioned in the rumor seem ridiculous.
Well Battlefield 4 was 900p on PS4 and settings were low.
The Witcher 3 takes twice more than Battlefield 4. So its true. PS4 fails
Definitely not low more like a combination of Med-High settings maybe a bit more not sure.
But still PC version looks/runs better in person.
@summerparadise: That's a very dumb comparison. If you're gonna compare AC4 on the PS4 you do it with the PC version... I sure hope you don't go to law school. You might need lawyers to double check your papers too.... might make invalid points with available resource or common sense.. you know ?
so ps4 is the better version compared to xbone? yes we knew that already and yes we know pc's are better.
Wouldn't be surprising after the gorgeous VGX trailer.
Well no matter, I'll be upgrading my PC this winter/next spring. Bring it on :)
they need to be more consistent with their art design. some of it looks great and some not so much. this is going to be the biggest differentiator going further along into the generation. rendering tech is mostly going to converge with physically based shading and proper math.
I'd be willing to give someone my life savings, if this rumour is indeed true. Wasn't there an article the other day here on Gamespot from the actual Developers saying the PC and next-gen consoles allow them to go balls out with the game?
I'm thinking more like 1080p 30FPS on PS4 and 900p on Xbox One. I also find it really hard to believe the console versions will be equivalent to PC's minimum specs.
Not really unexpected. The difference in performance between PS4 and a high end PC is pretty vast. People are deluding themselves if they think consoles are going to be able to run stuff like Witcher with max settings at full res. The good news to take away from all of this is that even if the rumor is true, it's not THAT far below 1080p and well above 720p. It should still look really good. PC is definitely the way to go for games like this, if you have the option.

the pc version will obviously look better, but i expect the only big difference to be AA if your gpu is fast enough. the rest will be minor lod, shadow quality and precision improvements. If they support TXAA tho it will be a very big improvement, especially with all the vegetation and fine detail the images so far display. this will be a very shimmer heavy game.
"we're pushing next gen to their limits", "there's virtually no difference between next gen consoles and pc", "next gen versions will look as good as released screenshots" game is low/900p on ps4 and low/720p on xbone. Cool.

most of the screen shots are downsampled from resolutions in excess of 4k so even pc wont look as good as the screenshots.
I'd be surprised if it's really that demanding, especially with stuff like the Nvidia PhysX fur turned off. The Witcher 2 was pretty easy to run with ubersampling turned off, and the Witcher 3 isn't that huge of an upgrade. We'll have to see how well they managed to get the Red Engine multithreaded, because if we get CPU bottlenecks, the game could be a bitch to run.
900p 30fps on PS4. Sounds better than what the majority of PC gamers will be playing The Witcher 3 on

But the majority of PC gamers from this forum will most likely still play it 1080p/1440p :)
