This was the announcement rumored to be an Xbox360 version announcement. I'm guessing that rumor fell flat.

That's not fanboyism, it's truth. PC gaming is much better IMHO, but we do get many of your games. It's not a one way process.

Ports come from both sides.

I bought the game as soon as it got released, and it's really one of the best RPG games I've ever played.

This is kind of support every PC game should recieve.

I just hope they don't sell-out and bring a crappy consolised sequel.

Its nothing new in the market, its all these 10 year olds who just start gaming on consoles who think the pc has never lost exclusives before.

Agree, not many companies would do it like this. Usually expansions packs are released with all the addional contents they are offering.

Well it was fun at times, hack n slash like, had its moments, gameplay wise no it wasnt that good (neither was mass effect though imo) .... both were ridiculously easy, I mean about 30% though mass effect the second I could get the Specter weapons I had them and 1-2 shotted everything.

The Witcher though ... story wise slaughtered Mass Effect imo ... and atmoshphere.

Problem was Mass Effect's presentation was much better due to a much better engine ( TW was used on the Never Winter Nights engine ... modified ).

Best RPG EVER = The Witcher on Mass Effect's Engine :D

I disagree on the atmoshpere the Witcher was so "mature" it seemed immature eg: southpark? Also I haven't played a rpg with that kind of combat in while so mabye it just felt old yet new. Also I prefer rpgs with lots charater custamization.

In the flipside not many PC exclusives tends to land itself to the console side of things.

Even though they're offering it for free through a downloadable patch, I think I'm going to go ahead and purchase the Special Edition for the small things they're including in that version as well- Behind the Scenes DVD, Music CD, etc.

This and Mass Effect for the PC in May... It can't come any sooner.

You know all of those games you mentioned are/were on PC even if they're not announced just like how halo will come and grand theft auto comes and devil may cry is coming but it'll probably be a crappy port

...but there was nothing really wrong with The Witcher in the first place - the bugs and loading times were the major problems, and they've already been fixed.

One of the (free) patches has already reduced the loading times, and this new (free) add-on is available to everyone who bought the release copy.
