The Witcher: PC RPG GOTY!

WoW, this game is simply amazing. I have played for about 8 hours and I just got past the first act alone; apparantly the game should last 60 hours first time on normal. So far the game has been amazing, only downside is the load times, but seriously a game like this, definitely the best RPG to come to the PC in years. I also can't believe this is the aurora engine from the original NWN, the devs made this game look 10x better than NWN2!!

Anyway, if you are a fan of RPG or you have wanted to try out a good RPG then this is your chance. Please don't pirate this game and support the Polish studio so they can keep making more excellent games like this.

I'm in love... I just might even pick up my copy of HGL a week later, I wanna play this game at least several more times... so many options.

Is it just the Polish version that's uncensored or the Euro version in general?

I've been following this game for a while, so it's great news to hear that people love the game. It's also suprising that this small, unknown developer has made a great RPG with only a small amount of bugs. I'll definitely have to pick this up when it's released here.

Sounds interesting... maybe my pc needs an upgrade? I was going to just wait until Star Craft 2 is released... but now im tempted. Tell me guys, what makes the game so good?kevy619

Its not a system seller imo , Its kinda like Mass Effect, heavily story driven, but poorish combat, set in medievel fantasy ... but not the usual kind, its alot darker rape/pedo/Genocide icidents involved in it.

If you like character building and combat, this one can be missed, if you like lots of quest plots and a good dark story with a great themed world then yea pick this one up.

That, and the game appears to have a heavy emphasis on choices and consequences.
Your choices aren't always right or wrong - a lot of them seem to be ambiguous, and the consequences of your actions may only reveal themselves hours later in the game (meaning that you can't just choose to do something and easily reload if your choice was bad).

I kinda want to wait on getting it till I know how much has been taken out of the American version. It is not like OMG no boobies but if a bunch of quests and plot twists have been taken out I may pass on it.

Btw, you can run the game at max settings with the recommended system specs. I run the game most on high on my laptop and looks beautiful.

I don't know why people complain about the combat system, I think it's pretty good once you get used to it. It's all about rythm.

It seems to have much more character and personality than ME and HG:L.
