The world (even the gaming one) "wait" for no one.

As you know, all we get from Sony fanboys as of late is "just wait...people are "waiting" for the price of the PS3 to go down before they buy one." "Just wait....the games that people want to play are coming"

So while we're doing all this "waiting", something happened last month that people here didn't pay attention to but is rather significant.

MADDEN SOLD MORE COPIES ON THE 360 THAN ON ANY OTHER CONSOLE, EVEN THE PS2.

I know a lot of the "l33tz" don't realize this, but this is the first time in over a decade Madden sold better on a non-Sony platform.

The point of bringing this up is to show that while some people are "waiting", the landscape is slowly but surely starting to change. And Sony seems to be getting left behind.

The ones who say "just wait" are refusing to admit that past sucess does not equal sucess in today's world. Let's examine cow's behaviour over the last 2 years:

Cows in 2006: Xflop 1.5 will be forgotten once PS3 launches

madden 08 sold more on the 360 than the ps3 and ps2 combined.

madden 360 outsold the ps3 version?! who would have thought a console that sold over 6 million consoles in one area would have better selling games then one that sold less then 2 million. :roll: if you combine the sales of the ps2 and ps3 versions they are about equal to 360s numbers.

Is this why most consoles reach their peak monthly sales years later in their lifespan? Is this why the PS2 still sells such crazy numbers? If this why the 360 is failing to outsell the original Xbox despite having a vastly superior game library?

Seems to me that many people ARE waiting.

i guess 2007 is over right plus 8 = great so matter how it floped it still good lair was a great looking game it just they could not get the controls right motorstorm is the most fun on-line racer look up the reviews. resistance is still be played today not like the AAA pdz. you also forgot to mention warhawk 8.5 for an on-line game. microsoft had a better ip called shadow run decided to scrap the rpg books and make there own ideas and made it into a fps and look what happen. i play games now so the last one is out the window. flop = bad game.GARRYTH

I can understand defending Motorstorm because it really was a solid fun game it was doct points for not having split screen online or offline, what 7 tracks and only one race mode.....but the actual game is great.

Yeah we know, the truth hurts. It's not just games like Madden selling better on the 360, but other multiplat titles like Stanglehold, DiRT, NHL 08, RS:Las Vegas, Tiger Woods 08, ES: Oblivion and many other titles are selling twice the amount of the PS3. What's worse is even the PS3 exclusives like Lair, Warhawk, Heavenly Sword, etc.. aren't selling like they should. Only 77,500 sold for HS in one week? That terrible for a game that was hyped "AAA". Even Two Worlds sold more copies on the 360 and that game is terrible compared to HS.

Well the PS2 has over 120 million units in gamers hom, yet Madden on the 360 outsold the PS2 version as well. So figure that one out. (PS2) 120 million -vs- (XBox 360)10 million. Which system should sell more copies? :roll:

Yeap...that 120 million user base of theirs is defecting one at a time.

You will see that magical 120 million number getting smaller and smaller until we get to around 4 or so million (the number of hard core Sony loyalists that have already purchased the PS3).
