It goes like so for me:
1. Xbox 360 + HD-DVD add on - The complete gaming/home entertainment system, best online service of all 3. Downloadable SD and HD movies, tons of demos online, XBLA is a great addition. The games are excellent, and even better titles are on the way. GTA is coming for xbox immediately.
2. Wii - Party system, good value, might have some good games later. Cool controller, the online seems ok.
3. PS3 - Cheap Blu-ray player, honestly it was a cheap attempt by Sony to save Blu-ray's sales. By putting it in PS3, they have a larger install base. The games arent looking as good as promised. I honestly dont think we'll ever see a game that is far beyond the xbox 360's capabilites. The online shows its still a primitive online service, free has proved the saying "You get what you pay for". The controller is less now without rumble, SIXAXIS was a lame attempt to make up for it IMO. It does have HDMI support, and larger hdd support, still not enough for me to want it. BUT, if i had the money to blow (not if i had the money, I mean money literally allocated for nothing better.) , and the games looked good enough in the future id go for it..maybe.Â
the 360 add on is considered the worst of the HD-DVD drives and doesnt allow you to utilize the Dolby True HD sound. It puts everything into DD 5.1It goes like so for me:
