The Xbox one is a joke compared to PS4 and Nintendo switch and here's why

- no high quality exclusives

- live gold "free games" are mostly garbage

- you have to pay a fee to play FREE TO PLAY games

- games get cancelled or constantly delayed

- everything on it is also on PC

- $500 for a console that has nothing to offer is a ripoff

- the cellphone model they're trying to implement now reeks of desperation and will alienate a lot of people that bought the console @ full price in the past

There you have it, the biggest and most pathetic attempt in console gaming of all time.

- Well to be fair saying it has absolutely no high quality exclusives is a bit disingenuous. Heck even with play anywhere, there's still a few good exclusives that you can't play on PC.

- Games with gold isn't really any better or worse than what Sony offers through PS+, and Nintendo is only going to be doing NES titles for the foreseeable future.

- The fee to access free to play games is pretty shady, fair point.

- Sure some exclusives have been cancelled, and that sucks for Xbox gamers. But this happens from time to time with all companies, its just been more frequent with Xbox this gen. And better to delay a game than release something crappy right? Just look at RDR2 or Breath of the Wild, they were both pushed back on multiple occasions.

- Like I mentioned, not everything is available on the PC. Some of the older Forzas and Sunset Overdrive off the top of my head.

- $500 isn't so bad considering the specs it released with. It's lacking in first party content certainly, but if you look at this objectively it does most other things pretty well. Best backwards compatibility support of the three current consoles, good multimedia features, pretty nice value services, crossplay, runs quietly and plays multiplats well if we're talking about the Xbone X here.

- I don't know enough about this cellphone model to comment on it, sorry.

So yeah, maybe not the best console ever released, but it's far from the worst either imo.

It's got Halo MCC which is pretty awesome, especially with the just released patch.

The "free" game offerings argument is pretty dumb, as both offerings are disappointments 95% of the time, both offer a game the other did months ago.

Can you name 5 first party titles on any platform that didn't receive a delay this gen? It's the price you pay for most games being announced 2-3+ years before they're finished.

The cellphone model is meh and just another thing the darts they're throwing landed on. Hoping it's trendy and catches on I'm sure. It's not going to alienate their customers though. If any current Xbox One owners really want that I'm sure they could sell their consoles and buy the plan.

As a standalone console it is better than the Switch just because it has 3rd party support. Compared to PS4 or PC it is inferior.

Imagine only owning a Switch though and playing nothing but cartoon games. It would drive you insane. Pretty soon you'd have a big ass amiibo and cardboard collection and wouldn't even know how it got there. Your acne from your teenage years would start coming back. You'd start putting on extra weight.

I wouldn't say it's a "joke" as such but I personally find my PS4 loads everything quicker and I can get to the psn store within seconds, on the xbox one it slows down and sometimes just kicks you back to the dashboard. I find that my xbox is more for my social pursuits and my PS4 is more for my hardcore gaming appetites.
