Honestly the only reason the original made a splash is because of it's strange and very different aesthetic. Updating that into a modern game doesn't really make a lot of sense to me since it loses a lot of its charm. I never played the remake, but the original was pretty decent. No intent to play either of the updated versions in all honesty...

I mean, didn't they **** everything up? All of it looked bad, and the graphics style is just.. wrong. Would be cool if someone who's actually played XIII made a remake of it.

Fun fact: The sales of XIII (original) went up after the release of the remake. It was so shit people who wanted to revisist the game bought the real version in anger. XD

Personally its a wonderful effort. Them not abandoning a failed project deserves some prop.
