The Year of PS3

First off all it was 2007 every cow sayed it will be the year of PS3but after the big fall in 2007 cuz of hallo 3, bioshock, mass effect , and so on...they changed it to " 2008 the year of ps3" but after the fall of haze and the lack of games after MGS4 and the final Gamespot round 3 on Graphic,and you can add ninja gaiden 2 and gears 2 and more games from x360 for this year, and sure the WII effect for both years, i think they should change it to "2009 is the PS3 year" you know cuz we will see KZ2 and maybe god of war 3,and thing stayed as it this year plz change it to "2010 must be the ps3 year " or maybe 2011 what ever you want, in my opinion 2007 was better than 2008 for ps3 cuz of HS and uncharted thos were great games

A game like Metal Gear Solid 4 only comes around 3 or 4 years at a time. Big deal.

Resistance Fall of Man was a PS3 fan favorite for a long time, the sequel due out this fall. Big deal.

LittleBigPlanet has been a highly anticipated title for the PS3 and every preview has been positive. Big deal.

SOCOM is a highly anticipated sequel to one of the largest franchises on the PS2. SOCOM 2 is still being played online today. Big deal.

I admit, "The year of the PS3" looks alot different than it did at the beginning of last year, but it still looks mighty fine to me. I wouldnt say it's going to dominate or anything, but I, myself prefer the PS3 library compared to the 360's.

2007 wasn't a bad year for the PS3 (it was better for the 360 though), it had great games. So far 2008 has had : GT5: P , Hot Shot Golf, The Show , GTA4, DMC4. Not bad either. I don't think any year has ever been the "Year of *insert console*" . It all depends on taste, many people will prefer 360's line-up, others will go with the Wii and many will pick the PS3's.

So far I still think the PS3 has the best line-up. MGS4, LBP, Resistance 2.

2009.

The year when the Xbox3 comes out and the PS3 is still around for another 4 years, via updates.

Not to be a jerk since I do like the ps3 and all, but i think GTA4 will helped the 360 more. MGS4 is monumental, but it's not going to sell like crazy like some hardcore fans think. But yes, it wil awesome.

I am only interested in about 5 multiplatss and 3 exclusives (R2, LBP, and MGS4). I decided though to get all the multi plats on 360 since I am getting 6 exclusives and for achievements (Gears 2, Fable 2, Banjo 3, Infinite Undiscovery, Tales of Vespera, and most likely Too Human. Not to mention I think (or hope) that 360's E3 is better than last year. 2 b honest, last years E3 wasn't too good for anyone

As for Socom you can still find on-line games in Socom 1 even now. There is a huge following of this series and it seems to be growing.

In order to claim it your year you have to deliver and not just make promises and have potential, the PS3 hasn't fulfilled any of those yet. So guessing the year in which the PS3 will fulfill those promises are pretty bleak.
