No but think about it, this is the best way to do it. Who needs to exchange money under the table from Microsoft, Sony, or Nintendo when you can take money over the table legitly from just being extremely tough on all 3?KeyWiiThat was exactly my point KeyWii.

Thanks. I'd say it's a very definite possibility. And it makes a lot more sense than "teh bias" posts.
This is not a bias post.I don't think so. I think it's just the reviewers honest opinion of the game. Any logical person goes by gamerankings anyway.
I'm just going to throw this out there...
How many hits did the GameSpot website receive when they reviewed Zelda? I imagine a lot. What do hits turn into for websites? Ad Revenue.
Maybe GameSpot is intentionally tough/contraversial/inflammatory whatever your choice of word is, to garner the most hits when their reviews show up?

But that would still be what they believe the game should receive in terms of score...whether or not they're tough or not is irrelevant.

Well yes it helps all the more if you actually believe what you're saying. But the best way to get recognized in the review world is to just be really tough on all 3. Because when everyone else is giving a game AA, and you give it an A, people will want to know why. Conversely, when you finally do give a game a really good score, you will garner a lot of interest because it must be a really good game. (Maybe, I don't know what the deal was with PDZ)[QUOTE="Puckhog04"]That was exactly my point KeyWii.[QUOTE="sdifjds"][QUOTE="KeyWii"]No but think about it, this is the best way to do it. So saying that they were incredibly tough on Lost Planet, Crackdown, and VF5 isn't out of the question if your thoughts are true.
[QUOTE="Puckhog04"]Exactly, to think otherwise is nonsense. This thread is now a joke. TP deserved its score, Sunshine deserved its score, Gears didnt however, MGS didn't either etc. I could go on all day but well you don't want me to do that ;)Or maybe they actually believe that the game deserves that score...

It doesn't change the fact GameSpot went against the mold and scored it much lower than average.Or maybe they actually believe that the game deserves that score...

Agreed; no theory needed, and even if there is one, I don't care (unless if it is a world dominating theory that was true).Or maybe they actually believe that the game deserves that score...

[QUOTE="whitetiger3521"]Reviews aren't 100% accurate and alot of you people seem to try and use reviews as fact. Which it isnt. Puckhog04
It's really the only type of concrete evidence that is credible in GS's forums.
But yet has no credibility in the real world

Well ya but you know what I mean.. Just because a game scores well here at Gamespot doesnt mean that the game is automatically going to sell millions.

In some cases it does. I.E. Gears of War.
I know what you mean though. I'm just stating that we're on GS's forums. :)
