As the video says; 100 games and counting.

No reason to pay full price for a rental service.

no reason to pay full price on data
Alright. So you're going to get it?mrmusicman247
Probably inevitably, when they start putting it in smart-phones, tablets, normal TVs, Blue-Ray players etc...

whats great about onlive is that it takes away the hardware cost to the user. one thing that has always made gaming more and expensive and hard to get into is the hardware cost 599 us $ anyone?
All you need is a semi decent internet company and you can spend all your money on software.

Unless you purchase the console, the lack of hardware purchase is nice... Apart from you lack any ownership of... Well, anything. Furthermore, with ISPs railing people on bandwidth caps, it's got plenty of issues to overcome.
Interesting, you criticise steam and other DD services for "taking away" ownership(wich they don´t) and praise onlive where you´re just basically renting games and never actually own them(unlike steam and other DD services)?whats great about onlive is that it takes away the hardware cost to the user. one thing that has always made gaming more and expensive and hard to get into is the hardware cost 599 us $ anyone?

cus renting games and owning them are not the same thing. Onlive is turning into some thing like on demand on digital cable. I still watch tv even tho i dont own all the shows. you pay like 9.99 and you get to play a bunch of games all you want. its like buying a channel on the tv almost.
steam is very different you pay full price for a game and get nothing to show for it. If i am buying to own a game i want to own it. Not just data on my hard drive. Onlive in the future could give steam a run for its money as you have to download and install games and update them they work right away on onlive.
And half of those are bunch of indie game, shovelware, old games that any Pc can run it, and games that are mediocre while very few handful of games are good which could be played on other systems.
Not a single game I couldn't get on my Xbox 360 or PS3. They need to start adding PC only games for me to be slightly interested. KC_Hokie
if you watched the video you'd notice there are plenty of PC exclusives in there, including Amnesia the Dark Descent

Boom. Roasted. But he's right about the PS3/360 part. I'm not going to spend extra money seeing how I only buy software now.[QUOTE="ohthemanatee"]

Valve's Steam has the user option to backup (to make a copy of) the software to a user's storage media i.e. it's the legal version of "downloadz*.

Valve's Steam enables the user to get a full copy of the software, which is the same as the normal retail model.
Both PC download services and retail does not compromise the art assets' quality.
Also, they just added the Witcher to the playpack. This is great for me since its not on ps3 and my laptop definitely couldnt handle it. I've been wanting to play this for a while.

but whats the point in buying one if youre going to play the games that everyone else is playing?? i can see if you just wanna play Multiplats and maybe youre a handheld only user....but sheesh, if you already have a console, why should you adopt into this mess??[QUOTE="dontshackzmii"]
