I would'nt call it a joke but I'm certainly not a dedicated fan. The "no distinct main character" idea misses an opportunity to expand on some good characters.

The overarching plot or rather villain is crap.

Had this guy been a demented mosnter like the Joker wannabe he looks like, I'd have fond memories of him. Instead I got a guy who was cruel and evil because..... Well, we needed an antagonist, apparently one whoose main impact was being annoying for the majority of his appearance.

7,8,9,10 are the best of the series imho. I'll keep to myself which I prefer ;)

I cared about this game in 2008-2009. I was wondering what was taking so long back then. Now I fully expect it to release to a massive wave of disappointment, Duke Nukem Forever style, because it has no hope of reaching the hype that has been accumulated because of it's long development time. I think they know that as well & are trying to build their rep up a bit through other games before unleashing another blow to their fans.

That's my 2 cents anyway.

I've never understood the idea that hype accumulates over years. I'll judge it on it's own merits when it's out.

Seeing how everyone thinks both Gears and CoD remain incredible, regardless of how much and how often you repackage them, I nearly expect to find both Versus and DNF to be sleeperhits.

Too much money poured into it at this stage. That said I don't care about it anymore.

The best Final Fantasy is Tactics because it actually tells a mature story.

It should have been came out. They did announce itl like 5 years ago so I don't understand why its taking so long.

Because of people complaints of FFXIII linearity XX seems SE is turning FFXIII-2 into a WRPG now they have multiple endings and your choices for the dialogue can change the story meh seems like they will ruin FF even more and westernize it to make it suit the western audience then people will start complaining about why the game is not linear enough.
