Soo there are plenty of games that we have tried for 10 minutes and thought "Don't like it" then it's banged back on the shelf where it gathers dust or gets traded in. I've done it and and most of you will have done it. Now how many of you have ever went back to a game and had a second go and thought "Wow this is actually better than i originally thought" then you continue to play for a few hours and get really drawn into the game? Which turns out to be 10 times better than you assumed it was.

Well this recently happened to me regarding Enslaved Odyssey to the west. I had previously played it about 3 months ago and only got onto chapter 2 before i Declared to myself "I'm not enjoying this". I can't remember why , maybe i was playing other games that was more appealing to me at the time. Anyway i gave it another go this week and actually played it properly for a few hours, i loved it! I just found it a lot more fun and exciting compared to the first time round. So the moral of the story is that you should always give everything a second chance despite first impressions.

what games have won you over after giving them the "Second Chance " Treatment?

Final Fantasy 10. Got it for Christmas, played it an hour or so, put it down, didn't touch it for almost a year, picked I up again and was addicted until I beat it :P

Dragon Age Origins. Thought the graphics were too bad to enjoy the game but I was very wrong. Two Worlds 2 : had a disastrous beginning but when you reached the savannah Island, the game opened up and became a lovely experience. Recently, Crysis 2 . This game is good. Very good and extremely underrated by users on this website. They probably didn't finish the first few levels.

Bioshock. I didn't get pass the part where the flaming couch was going down the stairs. Thought it was stupid, so I gave up the game forever, picked it up again and now it's my 3rd favorite game of all time.

dragon quest 8.. not that i didnt like it.. but the start of it was VERY VERY slow and earning 1xp per slime kill was really really boring.. moved onto another game... couple months later..tried again..got passed the tedious intro and continued on to love the game and making it one of my favourite games of all time...and tied 2nd place for favourite jrpg of all time

I recently bought Planescape: Torment and just recently shelfed that. I had so much trouble getting it to work and had to replay the opening section enough times that I just said screw it and bought some DS games to play instead. Hopefully I'll get the urge to play it again someday cause I was actually enjoying it quite a bit but Spirit Tracks and The World Ends With You are just more appealing at the moment.

Plenty. One of the more prominent ones that springs to mind is Mass Effect. Bought it three times, the first two times I played it for about 2 hours, got bored & sold it. It became one of my favourite games this generation.
