Just though I'd throw these out there. These are all Eurogamer scores found on Metacritic.

Gears of War: 8.0

Resistance: Fall of Man:6.0

Ninja Gaiden Sigma: 7.0

Resident Evil 4: 7.0

I'm sorry, but the scores Lair and Blue Dragon got from these cynical bastards, I am not trusting. To score those games that low is a mockery of any developer. To only give Gears of War, by far game of the year 2006 in the majority of major game media sources opinion of freaking 8.0 is just ridiculously harsh grading. I wouldn't trust these guys.

Lair and Blue Dragon reviews were made by EGM. Heavenly Sword was reviewed by Eurogamer. It's a bit confusing what with all the "E"'s :P

Also, yeah, those scores are HELLA-wrong IMO.

I think those are very reasonable. I mean, here an 8.0 is considered "great" but almost "very good," right? I think Gears of War deserves something like that. Resistance? Really nothing special. Might be fun for people who haven't been playing the best shooters, but 6.0 is a fair score. Ninja Gaiden Sigma and RE4 Wii are remakes, so 7.0 is reasonable. If you've played the original it's unlikely you'd want to buy another game for basically the same thing.

I don't follow review scores much on any site, so I don't know about other reviews they have made, or what their tendencies are, but I think those are reasonable.

Sites like GS overrate games to an extreme. If Gears is a 9.6, that means that it's 4% away from being absolutely perfect. That makes me smile.

Actually RE4 got 9/10 and resistance 7/10. I'm going to assume that metacritic was wrong rather than that you were lying.

This is a strange topic. Its a topic full of fail... but for the wrong purpose. In reality, it actually wins... with the wrong purpose.
