Thinking of getting a 360...Wii has disapointed me

Does the 360 or the PS3 have the games that you want?

Now, whichever console has the games that you're looking forward to, get that one.

From now until brawl there is galaxy, manhunt 2, mecury meltdown (my personal taste), manhunt 2 (im very curious about the wii version), and no more heroes. I'm not sure when crystal bearers, mariokart, that wiisport styled pilotwings game, okami, or soul calibur legends. There are other games I'm forgetting.

Then there's wiifit, whichactually looks half decent with wiisports style games for it

Well hope you exclusively like shooters cause that al your gonna get. See wii has variety but yes admitedly it is lacking at the present that why I have other platforms.

Right now Wii and 360 complete the gaming experience with of course the PC and many many others but primarily 360 and Wii. 360 covers shooters until Wii starts popping em out and Wii covers the creative games that are slowly growing and soon will be awsome next year.

See unfortunately this is not like the good old days. back with the SNES or Genesis you had a full gaming experience just owning one of them.

Both companies had such a hold on third party devs that games were sure to push the limit. Now you have to buy at least two consoles to get a full experience because its so competitive first party companies are killing eachother for the throne.

While there is a good number of great shooters being released for 360 this holiday season, to say that is the only good thing it has would be an ignorant lie, I have Viva Pinata, Rayman, raving rabbits, sports games, Forza, PGR, Eternal Sonata, all have gotten very good reviews, all play well, and are not shooters, and thats my personal library, I know there are alot of great non shooter titles for 360, and I play them, all while my Wii collects ALOT of dust.

And the 360 also have more AAAs than the Wii. I don't know why you didn't mention that.

You do realise that out of the next-gen consoles the 360 has the most wrpgs/jrpgs, rts's, sport, and racing. Out of each of those genre's the 360 also has the most high quality titles. The 360 has the most variety right now (yes i know its been out a year longer, but this is one of reasons it did). Shooters are the biggest genre on the 360 though.

Thats my point for all the time 360 has had extra time with the devsits been out all those genres may have gotten a couple of games that werent that good. The only thing that is really fun on 360 is shooters still, its pretty much its only identity and that sounds awsome at first but if the trend keeps going its going to get really annoying. No even though 360 has the most games t play it does not have the most variety. Also for RTS they are all on the PC for alOT more value, they are still good but seriously come on. Any Racing or Sports game that so generic of a genre that it doesnt count cause they are on all systems, most notably PS2.

So my point stand that 360 caters almost, and I stress almost with some exceptions, entirely to shooters.

Agreed. First make sure you have adequate funds and space for another console, then decide which one has more games you'll enjoy. PS3 might offer more then the 360 for you, but hten again it could be the other way around. I must say I also agree with your topic because I myself am not all pleased with the Wii anymore either. My fiance REFUSES to let me sell it or trade it in so I'm kinda stuck with it but if i could I think I would get rid of it since there's nothing on it I want to play.
