Thinking of getting a ps3 tomorrow...

Hi guys just wondering if it is still worth it to buy a ps3, I have an x360 and a wii already.The main reasons i'm buying a ps3 are mgs4 and god of war, could you please tell me some ups and downs of owning a ps3.

MGS is comiong to the 360 and looking far superior actually. And GOW isn't worth the price tag. So no, stick with your wii.

Ups: Blu-Ray, great graphics, a library of games that keeps expanding, looks awesome, controllers have built in rechargeable batteries, PSN is free, and etc.

Downs: Expensive.

It has the most hardware features, but in terms of software features, the 360 destroys it.

Also the 360 has twice as many Games, and has the most highest rated games, so the 360 is obviously the best bet when it comes to games. but as the TC said, he wants MGS4 and GOW3, and I brought my PS3 for just MGS4 :D

Guys don't turn this into a ps3 vs 360 topic pls :P, I have decided that i am getting a ps3 tomorrow and getting uncharted and ratchet and clank tod for free with it, later on i will buy mgs4 since it is the main reason i am buying a ps3 but looking to forward to play more games such as killzone and other ps3 exclusives.

Edit: Check the free controller, that's only with the 80GB version without MGS4 or Ps2 compatibility.

u need killzone and resistance 2 and socom confrontation. another ups is that it has a browesr which u can check ur facebook, myspace, youtube, twitter.

built in wifi

home is free and its fun to all around home its always adding new areas

you dont have to pay to play online

oh and if you have a hi def tv blu ray movies will do you nice

you dont have to buy batteries for your contoller

it doesnt get a hardware failure all the time

Def worth getting the ps3 for the exclusives,and especially for mgs which has imo the best singleplayer experience this gen...just be warned it will collect mega ton dust because of the waiting

I think you should buy one simply so you can have all 3 systems. The only valid opinion on gaming is from someone without bias and owning all three allows you that luxury.

It's never wise to buy something for one game... good thing for the PS3, it's not. You should get it, but look into Killzone 2, Resistance 2, Uncharted, inFAMOUS, Warhawk, LBP, etc.GodofBigMacs

I'd say get one if you really want it.

I found a cheap one for 250 Euro on ebay last week and couldn't resist. MGS4's story telling blew my mind. KZ2... not so much, very average game IMO.

Get LBP, Killzone2 and MGS4, best games this gen, Valkryia chonicles also if your into RPG Action kinda game :)

The PS3 was the last of the big 3 that I bought. Depending on your preferences, it got a lot going for it. The free wireless online was a big plus for me. That being said, I'm not much of an online gamer, I use it mainly for downloading demos. I know a lot of people buy their multiplats on 360 because they have a bigger network/more friends with one.

One downside is game price. If you buy your games soon after release, there really is no difference. However, I've found that 360 versions of multiplats go down in price quicker on the 360.

.just be warned it will collect mega ton dust because of the waiting

The PS3 has always been a bargin with all the hardware that comes in the system. I bought one of the first 60 gig systems and have never looked back even after paying about $600.00 for the system. I never turn my system off and it has never overheated or had any kind of problems. As for friends list my list is maxed out at about 100 friends and I can find friends online at any time of the day or night.
