Thinking of seriously getting a PS3..

I've been a 360 owner for over 3 years and basically I'm tired of the 360. I wish Microsuck would have stayed out of the gaming business as the only made a cheap weak piece of junk anyway. I know we are suppose to believe the 360 is a powerful machine. I had a cheap old Radeon x1300 pro with a Pentium 4 with HT and it almost performed just like the 360. After playing Ninja Gaiden 2 and seeing the graphics and how the 360 lags at the action I'm convinced that this thing is so weak I bet it couldn't emulate super nintendo games correctly. Xbox originals games don't even play right. I have yet to see one 360 game out do the visuals in Heavenly Sword and Uncharted. I'm not a lemming that's in denial I realise and see the truth.

Xbox 360= Weak and cheap software.

PS3= Harder to develop for but exclusvies seem and feel like there on a much grander scale.

I love the PS3 controller, so glad they didn't turn it into that boomerang.

The PS3 rocks, can't wait for K2.

I would only agree with two of that, RROD and Exclusives. Both systems have great exclusives but I have yet to play a Ps3 exclusive that comes close to my favorite current-gen game, COD4.

I prefer Halo over Resistance and I would love to try out Gears.

When I talk about overpriced accessories, Im refering to the $100 wifi and their hard drives.

The dedicated servers comment is about Gears 2 in particular. The host advantage in that game is just awful. It just ruined the whole experience for me. It was the main problem with the first game and they continued to use p2p on the second.

Im not the biggest fan of Resistence but at least Sony will throw up some servers enabling lag free matches--and we arent even paying them anything for the psn.

130,000 is nothing compared to the massive fan base that will instantly arise on the Killzone 2 realease. Seriously, 130,000 is equal to the amount of people in a very small city. The Killzone is has numbers far beyond that and it isn't even out yet. And how on Earth would know that it has small maps, and no vehicles. And don't even talk about the graphics. tylergamereview

I hope more 360 owners feel like you. Being a ps3 owner myself, I didn't get mine till April 2008. PS1 was my last console (handheld not inlcuded) before I got my ps3 and was strictly pc. Seeing almost any good xbox or 360 game come to pc (although 90% of them sucked)... I wouldn't dream of buying a 360 even before the ps3 came out. I had better stuff on my pc, the 360 is the ONLY console in history to have a failure rating (33% at that!), who would buy that? Where is the class action lawsuit or the recall, where is the better business beaurro? Why are there so many idiots paying M$ money to play online? It was free for everything else. Being a hardcore pc guy, I couldn't see any apeal for xbox and it's closed down system.

Enter the Playstation 3... 90% of the good multiplats wind up there, Sony has 20 first party devs working on exclusive titles compared to 3 for xbox. PSn games for $10 and lots of them. Blu-ray player, some native (xbox just upscales) 1080p games....being able to play all my favorite ps1 games on it and download some I sold off like suikoden and sotn!! Games that can hold up to 50gb of data, open system with support for keyboard and mouse and User made mods! Little big planet user created content. The most impressive looking and playing games ever...Uncharted, Heavenly Sword, Motorstorm 1 and 2, Resistance 1 and 2, MGS4, wipeout hd, etc... a web browser, now with tv sized you-tube. Home, xmb, custom user made themes, all video formats, pc streaming, free online play, blue-tooth, remote play, many many settings to tweak, linux support , replacable standard laptop hardrives. And a quality console that is 2nd to none in construction, look and play. It was the best console for a pc guy like myself! I could get exclusives I wouldn't find on the pc and they would look just as good if not better in some cases. And to top it all of it earns mounds of jealousy from all the xbots who can't afford it....

PS3 is the best, I researched it and compared before buying...not listening to fangirl opinions, and i was glad I did! I got mine due to getting a psp in dec. 2007 and that spawned my resurgance of console love from when I was in my early 20's playing ps1. It happened at a time when pc exclusives were going away and 90% of pc games were multiplat and dumbed down. The age of baldur's gate and Thief, vampire the masquerade, and quake 3...were dead.. I had to get a new system.. Beleive me the ps3 is the way to go. I love it. The best purchase I ever made! If you do decide to get one. You will love it to! Don't think about these rabbid lems and their biased opinons...90% of them never played a ps3 and bash it because they can't afford it.

Likewise. I've been computer gaming for 25 years now, exclusively PC since 1992 until recently when decided to get into consoles. Thought long and hard between the 360 and the PS3 15 months ago, followed the forum discussions, posts, game reviews... and decided on the PS3 finally. Yeah it was more expensive, and it was a gamble as the HD war hadn't been finally resolved at that point. But the RRODs made the decision for me. Now, 1 year later, still zero regrets going with the PS3 that's served me faithfully as a complete home entertainment machine. It doesn't matter for me that the 360 lineup till this point is better as there's no shortage of great games on the PS3, and I don't need to play every game there is out there.

the only issue I have with the PS3 is its controller, that is why I bought a 360. I had a PS3 for 2 weeks and just couldn't stand it, otherwise I liked the system. And now it has some games for it too.muscleserge
