This Gen Has Been Great For Shooter Fans, But What About We...

Hack n Slash and Fighting Fans.

I dont care what anyone says, DMC 4 is not that good, NG 2 is not that good and Heavenly Sword is crap.

When you compare them to their predecessors, you will realise how much these games failed.

Last Gen brought new, fresh and originalHack n Slashgames, e.g DMC 1/3, NG/NGB, GoW 1/2, Onimusha 1/2/3/4, Shinobi PS2, Otogi 1/2, etc there were lots ofHack n Slashgames, this gen, there is none. all we've got are sequels to last gen games, no original, and the original game we got, was Heavenly Sword, that game sucked.

all we got now is Bayonetta and GoW III left, I hope they are really good. not looking forward to Ninja Blade, what I've seen so far, is not impressive. if I dont get a decentHack n Slashgame this gen real soon, I might quit gaming, because its my favourite genre.

On the other hand, fighting games seem to be better than last gen. so far, we've had, Soul Calibur IV (sucked imo, but whatever), Tekken 5 DR Online (loving it) and coming soon, Street Fighter IV, BlazBlue, Battle Fantasia (loving the demo), Tekken 6, Tatsunoko vs Capcom, New King of Fighters etc. I'm quite pleased with Fighting games this gen.

what do youHack n Slashand fighting fans think, how has this gen treated you.

I'll enjoy my Tomb Raider when it comes out:)

Have played deadspace for 3 hours now, i alrdy get the feeling that this game is gonna be the best game for me of 2008...

Everything is amazing so far about this game, especially the interface/UI.

I consider this game more like a survival/horror than a thirdperson shooter, just like resident evil 4.

You should change it to hack n slash or action , lots of excellent games like MGS4 and Uncharted fall under the action/adventure category despite having guns in them.

If you don't like Ninja Gaiden 2, Devil May Cry 4, or Heavenly Sword, you should find a new hobby.

Bayonetta comes out next year, and that looks amazing. For fighting games: King of Fighters XIII.

I thought NG2 was pretty good. Just not as good as its predecessor.

DMC4 was horrible though.

I liked DMC4 personally. just finished it in sons of sparda (ironically it's still easier than DMC3 in normal mode :lol: ) and I still really enjoyed it. Heavenly sword was also quite good and i can't wait for the sequel! But i do agree that the hack and slash genre has not had much coming out that is noteworthy.swamplord666
