Fanboys still try to use facts and misconstrue it in some way. It's not like we don't use facts anymore if that's what you're saying. If we don't have enough facts to make a plausible argument will make up some facts.
I would disagree. Fanboys have been prominent since AT LEAST the last generation. I remember a guy in EB Games freaking out on me because he overheard me talking to my friend and I had said that the GameCube was more appropriate for kids( I hate to be a d!ck but I told ya so, ahahaha!).
The gen is filed with fanboys beacuse as the gens go on more people get into gaming (kiddies) and until they leave elementary school they curse us all.
There may be more fanboys this gen, but they aren't the same as they used to be. A lot of fanboys are actually fakeboys, and the arguments of fanboys nowadays are somewhat... lame. Plus, it doesn't help when this board has become more of a 360 vs PS3 board.

This made me lol a bit, but yea i agree with the op, those used to be the days, 20 pages of decent arguments, now its just trolls trying to stir up other fanboys.
