We hear the jokes about ps3 owners owner $2000 high end rigs from the 360 fans all the time. Pure damage control. How come every time a console gamer mentions their setup, they own 52" 1080p tvs and 5.1 or even 7.1 surround sounds, but a $2000 gaming rig is just impossible to own. I've never seen anyone thats specified their setup that has a smaller TV than 42" and they all seem to be 1080p.

The whole scenario is totally different. Also, the number of cows that downplay games that are on 360/PC, even though the comparison is between games that are on the 360 , and games on the PS3, are astronomical. Also, how can you say that someone has a 42" TV? They may be lying. If you want damage control, see the ODST thread after the GS review.
It's a double standard for consolities on the whole. They expect all PC gamers to max games, but when we bring up cost comparison to the point where their games are maxed it suddenly doesn't matter.
Display has nothing to do with it. A console costs 200, a PC several times that. The display is a completely seperate thing, both consoles and PCs can use both TVs and monitors.

A 200 dollar console which can't even max the games? If I remember arcades don't come with HDMI ports.. at least mine didn't.
The money about owning a gaming rig isn't the joke, it's that cows always hide behind it in exclusives arguments. Besides, I have all the HD systems, yet my setup is an SD Emerson TV that's 28 inches across.

"Maxing" a console game? Confused.
If arcades don't have an HDMI port, it won't run HD 1080p. I think that's what he is saying (although every console upscales most of their games anyway...)

O right, well I think all 360s have HDMI now anyway, so not really an issue.
