joke topic? the game has the best visuals ive seen with the art direction. and it is still platforming, but with vehicles. If you jump from platform to platform, you are platforming. if you jump from platform to platform in a vehicle with springs, guess what? you are still platforming.mtradr43
Is that a joke post? So you would like to jump from platform to platform using springs?

whats the difference if you do it on foot or in a vehicle? you do the same exact stuff. vehicles open up a bunch of new possibilities. watch the one vid where you have to knock over all the dominoes at one time? lets you be inventive.[QUOTE="Blazerdt47"][QUOTE="mtradr43"]joke topic? the game has the best visuals ive seen with the art direction. and it is still platforming, but with vehicles. Do you want Banjo to become a Need for Speed one day? RARE hates you, they only care about what they want to do, not what we want (I'm talking about the new RARE).
In Banjo 1 and 2 you explore, fly, swim, jump, collect, solve puzzles, fight bosses, etc.
In Banjo 3 you explore, fly, swim, jump, collect, solve puzzles, fight bosses, etc.
The ONLY difference to gameplay is instead of your avatar being a bear, it's a vehicle.
Who bloody cares?

yes, i do like the way they are approaching this game. and rare has done quite well for themselves lately, doing what they want. just wait a bit and buy b and k for the arcade if you hate nuts and bolts so much.As a fan of the franchise, there definitely is fan service.
Also, the graphics are spectacular.

Like I said the graphics are great but they could have been so much better like, where's they unique environments we've come to love? All I see now are gears in every level I see. And the graphics are definitely not on par to Ratchet and LBP.
I laugh at gamers who say, "OMG vehicles! teh sux!!1! This isn't the game I remember! blasphemy!"
The sad thing is these people don't realize the vehicle is just an extension of the characters Banjo & Kazooie, only now you can do a lot more with them by actually building your own "moves". People who get hung up on superficial stuff like this are usually the same people who live in the past and always believe the grass is greener somewhere else.
everyone who played the first two, including ME!! They are NOTHING alikeIn Banjo 1 and 2 you explore, fly, swim, jump, collect, solve puzzles, fight bosses, etc.

Yeah I don't know why people can't seem to put these things together. It's the same flipping thing with a new "character", the vehicle. And it allows the environments to be alot bigger since you can fly/drive/swim faster in the vehicles..people just need a reason to **** apparently..In Banjo 1 and 2 you explore, fly, swim, jump, collect, solve puzzles, fight bosses, etc.
In Banjo 3 you explore, fly, swim, jump, collect, solve puzzles, fight bosses, etc.

i dont know, maybe IGN who preview the game amongst others big game sites, that find it kinda of ummm dumb.In Banjo 1 and 2 you explore, fly, swim, jump, collect, solve puzzles, fight bosses, etc.

Lol yes they are. The originals are some of my favourite games. Changing from bear to vehicle, to me, is the same as changing Tommy Vercetti's pants in Vice City. Exact same gameplay, different look. Only with tons of customisation added.

from IGN http://xbox360.ign.com/articles/909/909317p2.htmlFrom recent evidence though -- and assuming Rare isn't hiding anything significant from journos at this late stage -- Nuts & Bolts feels like two promising concepts shoe-horned awkwardly into a single, unsatisfying whole. Yes, we're glad that Banjo and the bird are back -- we're just not convinced if this is quite the right, er, vehicle for their return

WTF?!? so your telling me racing against grunty for as a boss battle is like the old games now?? Massive empty worlds are like the older games too?? Its like GTA: Build your own vehicles BEAR STYLE! Its nothing like the older ones at all! The only thing im impressed with is the graphics and music thats all. What? you think it looks better than Ratchet and LBP graphics wise? Blazerdt47
Much better than Ratchet. LBP and Banjo are very similar texture wise.

Interesting... Very interesting. I think I'll still prefer this to a straight sequel though.

Lets see how racing heavy this game is. I am not saying the game will or will not be true to Banjo but with vehicles being the main source of transportation, racing missions are just to tempting for devs to avoid. Lets also see how good the handling mechanics are as well.

True, I'm assuming Rare knows what they're doing cos of Diddy Kong Racing being so awesome in all vehicles :)

or how dave chappelle would say , Do you hve any Grape Drink?Looks good!
Looks better!
I think we can see, wtf is wrong with the water in banjo, it has the same pattern throughout.Blazerdt47
Let it go man, I also agree that Ratchet looks way better then Banjo but in the end it is very subjective and with art differences you just can't win this kind of arguement showing pics. You will always have someone else claiming your pick choices are biased and even if the pic choices were fair it all comes down to just preference.

Wait why did you say Banjo looks better than? Uhuh.
i feel sorry for the lost souls who think Banjo looks better then R&C and LBP. poor souls, btw any one up for some GRAPE DRINK?spike6566
dude your a joke, LBP is good looking, But nothing crazy, I love the new Banjo look, if you honestly think they arent even comparable, you must be blinded by fan-boyism.

No, I don't see it that way at all. When the vehicles are the main focus of the gameplay, then it is a vehicular platformer with the name "Banjo" slapped in the title. It has been stated by IGN that the ONLY traditional platforming in the entire game is in the hub world. In every level, you have to use vehicle(s). That would be fine if it also employed elements of the previous Banjo titles. The problem is that the vehicles are the main character now. You can say the vehicles are just an extention of Banjo and Kazooie...but you know what? The waterpack on Super Mario Sunshine is just an extension of Mario. And we all know that everyone loved Super Mario Sunshine...:|
The point is that the vehicles are not an extension of the main characters...they are the main characters now, and that is what is making longtime fans of Banjo 1 and 2 mad. Just as the waterpack on SMS made sheep mad, I can easily see the vehicle aspect of Nuts and Bolts making Banjo fans mad. The waterpack in SMS was a gimmick that failed. The vehicles in Nuts and Bolts are a gimmick that could easily fail.
I dont think the OP knows what the word fanservice means.. at all.diped
Then I guess I don't know what "fan service" means also. I'm having a hard time finding much in Nuts and Bolts that would satisfy fans of Banjo 1 and 2. I really liked Banjo 1 and 2, but Nuts and Bolts seems to be taking a completely different direction. People have said that it is just a unique type of platformer that uses vehicles, but the problem is that the vehicles are the main aspect. When you can tweak your vehicle, add parts, do whatever it takes to reach a certain area in a level that was inaccessable...then that means that everything you are doing to get to that section is revolved around your vehicle and NOT Banjo. Like I said...it is a vehicular platformer with the name "Banjo" slapped in the title.
Look at it this way...do you think sheep would be happy if Super Mario Galaxy 2 was announced and it had Mario piloting a spaceship while using gravity to access different areas of a level by tweaking your spaceship and adding the necessary parts? Heck no. Sheep would want Mario to be the main character...not a spaceship. So, why is Nuts and Bolts a "fan service" to people who liked Banjo 1 and 2?
Lol yes they are. The originals are some of my favourite games. Changing from bear to vehicle, to me, is the same as changing Tommy Vercetti's pants in Vice City. Exact same gameplay, different look. Only with tons of customisation added. locopatho
