• The DS is the greatest handheld we will ever see and it is constantly getting new, amazing titles
• The PSP is an alright handheld as well. It has excellent homebrew and remakes as well as a few great exclusives
• The 360 and PS3 are both amazing machines and it looks as if both will be fairly successful
• The Wii is the first time that a console genuinely offers something different from its competitors making it a perfect companion console
• Titles on HD machines are going mulltiplatform, which makes the fanboys cry, but means that all of us get to share the same great games
• PC gamers get to share in these multiplatform games while keeping exclusive titles like Starcraft and Dragons Age
• There is a genuine degree of competition between the PS3 and 360 for the hardcore userbaase (not the monopoly we had last gen) while the wii continues todominate with casuals and gains popularity with gamers

• Downloadable titles adding to the excelent games of each console

I still have mine too, but I left my folder full of about 50 games with my ex girlfriend when I moved back from Japan 3 years ago. She's since moved back to the states, but she claims to have lost the games in the move. So, I have my DC and controllers, but no games. I could always ebay some of my favs, but I'm always too lazy. I'd love to see them re-released for someone's console as well.

If I caan get a CHU chu rocket remake, another Jet Set Radio game, SKies of Arcadia 2, Golden Sun 3,and Shenmue 3 this willl be the best gen ever. Until then Last gen was the best.too_much_eslim

Have you played those games? besides nights which I want to play and the SOnic RPG which is by Bioware; Sega hasn't done anything impressive except for Condemned which they didn't even develop. I want the old Sega back.too_much_eslim

Played all of their predecessors. AFAIK Skies of Arcadia 2 is rumoured to be getting a sequel as is chuchurocket. I would LOVE to see a sequel to jet said radio and panzer dragoon (either the main series or saga) and i'm guessing we will see them eventually. Shenmue wasn't even that good and we'll never see a sequel to it because it simply wasn't profitable

I would argue with "a good Monkey Ball game," the last great one was Super Monkey Ball 2.

Also, Sega hasn't topped F-Zero GX this gen, let alone the DC masterpieces, so they've got a ways to go IMO.

Not sure if this generation is the best... though it certainly has the makings.

We need to look back from future generations to judge for ourselves. There need to be some ****ing amazing games to compete with the 16 bit gen.

Any word on this getting a U.S. release? From what I've seen on PSN, the game looks absolutely gorgeous. Definite DO WANT.

I don't think they will leave this in Japan though, seeing as they have a semi-official English name already.

But hey, if anything else fails, at least the PS3 is region free.

I don't see why Senjou no Valkyria wouldn't do good in Japan. Not like there's better Japanese RPGs hitting the PS3 in it's estimated Q1 release date, but we'll see.

It's irrelevant who's more reliable. It's not happening, period.

It's a fairly niche title on a system that has bombed spectacualrly in the japanese market and i doubt it'll do much better in the west. Sorry Panzer but if GT5 prologue didn't do well and this has no chance. It's a damn shame given the obvious quality of the game

Ok this game look pretty good: Senjou no Valkyria. This and Yakazu 3 are the only two games I would play from that list. Now the problem is release date for them in the US. I would buy a PS3 now If only I knew that I will be able to import those games and understand what is going on.too_much_eslim

We'll see after 08 but so far it's been nothing compared to the start of last gen imo.
