This is the difference between MS's game division and sony

Whenever you look at game comparison lists sony always seems to look rather good, and so far, well, let's just say they aren't as good as their looks.

But ever wonder why?

Ever notice that the hyped games for the ps3 side have been the same since this gen started almost? GT5 is still there, KZ2, FF13 (multiplat, but in this context it applies), FFV13, and whatever else.

Now I'm not saying they don't release games, that's just dumb.
What I am trying to say is this, essentially. I'll just compare what we'd call the major FPSs for each console.

Killzone 2 Annoucnement- May 2005

Halo 3 Announcement-- June 2006

Halo 3 Release- September 2007

Halo: Keep it Clean Announcement- September 2008

Halo: Keep it Clean Release- January 2009

Killzone 2 Release- February 2009

Aside from KZ2 and GT5, what 1st party PS3 games have literally taken years to come out? I mean, Resistance 2, Motorstorm 2 and Siren were all revealed this year and they're all coming out this year.Floppy_Jim

that's 5 titles that took forever. MGS4 was announced in 05? and came out in 08 so again we pretty much saw the whole dev cycle

If Fable 2, Splinter Cell: Conviction, Huxley, Halo Wars and Alan Wake didn't exist you may have a point.

GoW 3 wasn't officially confirmed until E3 and that's what counts. Anything before then was just rumours. I agree about WKC though, that game is taking years. I think Sony have learned their lesson about showing off games years before they release.

Assuming both games make it before Dec 2009, that's just under 18 months since they were revealed, that's not too bad.

Yeah, this is basically the trend. This is how, at the end of 07, cows were saying how the PS3 had a great lineup while the 360 has literally no games, but then that ended up not being true. They are making the same mistake this year. MS waits until the game nears completion to announce it.pyromaniac223

PS3 hasn't even been out for 2 years guys lol. Also has anyone ever heard of a minute man before? lol And actually that is what the 360 is a minute man, its all done before you had time to enjoy it lol.

Also hate to say it but some of the 360 games I've had a chance to play wasn't very polished. So I would rather wait on a game than play one that had broken gameplay elements in it. I have yet to come across atleast any of my ps3 games that had broken gameplay elements in it or didn't feel polished ie: laggy menu screens, bad voice work, getting stuck on objects or even unseen objects lol. I think I have about 6 or 7 ps3 exclusives and none of them had a place that I couldn't progress because of broken gameplay issues.

So once again I would rather have a great game that works than to have a game that still feels like a beta any day of the week.

So thats why argueably the amount of time people have spent playing Halo 3 is probably more time than people have spent playing all of the PS3's exclusive games put together ?.

Google up some info on Sun Tzu and you will see the difference between what Sony does and what MS does.

When you are weak you give the impression of strength and that's what Sony has always done.

While MS did the actual work to shore up the weaknesses they had, for example J-rpgs, Sonys GTA exclusivity, getting stalwart Sony 3rd party games like Ace Combat 6 ect ect... Sony made it look like they were shoring up the weaknesses they had while never reallly getting anything done for example online inititive with Home and better FPS games with KZ2.

It's all standard Japanese buisness practices, like I said before if you want to see the Sony playbook read Sun Tzu's Art of War.

I don't blame Sony for doing it people fall for it hook line and sinker so why not take advantage of the gullibility?
