You know what? You sound like a genuine hermit. Get a PC. :DCalroffz
I would but I don't spend $600+ on a computer, im a console junkie
I can see how you would not be enjoying this generation if you do not actually own any of the current gen consoles. Kind of hard to enjoy it without them. Personally I think it's the best generation since the PS1/N64 so far but I have some strange gaming tases. Regardless, owning one of the current gen consoles and playing the games would be the first step to enjoying this generation. I have a 360 I bought at launch which has not shown the slightest sign of trouble but even if it does there is the 3 year warrenty to fall back on. The Wii has some interesting games and the PS3 could be getting some good ones later this year.Sir_Graham\
I had a 360 and loved it but I couldn't play a game 30min with out it freezing
Manhunt 2, Resident Evil 4, The Godfather, Scarface are for kids? (note there more games but I just wanted to show some of them)Callofdutynoob
Did nintendo show and new 3rd party games like that at E3? No they didnt even show Bwii or NMH.

Did you have it in a well ventilated area? The 360 runs a lot hotter than any console before it.
You took the worst from every fanboy here and used it against the consoles. Congratulations.nintendofreak_2

I had it in a good spot with my celing fan on the hightest level blowing on it and the AC on alot.
The only time my 360 crashes is with Oblivion. Damn they need to fix that, it's the game's fault since no other game crashes.
I think this gen is the best, I already have 14 games and there's another 10 coming in the next 6 months I want to get. The last console I owned before that was an N64 and I had 8 in the whole time I owned it.

nah oblivion never crashis on me, but the darkness and any sports game does
sad but true. To some the games that are coming out are awesome. Some of which that are highly acclaimed by Sony, Nintendo, Microsoft and PC are well-- first person shooters. None of the other genre of games are really getting much of a hype. There are some exceptions like Asassin's Creed among others that are 1 in 5FPS kick butt games that are coming out this year.
I'm not being synical about first person shooters, I for one enjoy playing them. However, is there any other genre of games that are coming out that have extensive work and media hype that is actually getting attention? -- Maybe is it just me .. We live in a world where guns and explosions are perhaps the best visuals that could entertain us.

AC or a fan shouldn't be needed. I live in Australia and we have really hot summers but my 360 seems to hold up well in a non air-conditioned room. The main thing you have to ensure is good ventilation. It should not be on carpet and both the system and power brick should have 15 cm or more space around them. If that doesn't work it's some other hardware issue besides the console running hot and MS should be able to fit it. That said, I feel a lot less concerned about my 360 in winter :)

Still $400 is to much for a console that has that much of a chance to break, I would probably go buy a pro 360 right now if it was $300.
