I disagree it had to compete with the Dreamcast. Gamecube and Xbox were only one year late PS2 won because it had the better games and more developer support.

SEGA was nearly bankrupt when the PS2 launched, SEGA was hoping the DC would be their savior, they were wrong, SEGA couldn't financially support the DC.

Playstation 3 will catch up to the 360 thats for sure..I can feel  a lot of great games goin to come out for the ps3 2008 and 2009..this year they have great games as well motor storm, VF5, Heavenly Sword, Lair, and perhaps even Warhawk..and this is on the ps3 exclusive..other that is mulitplatform is makin it way to the ps3..i glad i purchase a ps3..and halo 3 looks the same as halo 2..i dont see any difference..

Simply think of wii sports 2 or the next madden game pretty you use the controller the exact same way as you did the first time and creative innovation is gone just like that.  When MGS4 and the other big timer games come out for the other next gen consoles its gonna be all over just wait and see.

Nintendo will still be around in the next few years but the wii won't be the #1 next gen console, its just not going to happen.  It takes more than a new controller to win a console war.

Every console's sales decrease after christmas...it's not something that is inherent to only the 360. He states it as if it's a bad thing though...and in this instance (that you stated) it wouldn't be, it would simply be normal.
