Well. It will for the time being unless the remake of Rondo of Blood comes out before my favorite game of all time comes out. Then the PSP is good until my favorite game of all time is released.

Impressive for DS, but I'm done buying Square's re-releases unless they really offer some value-added content. What I want o see is more things like Final Fantasy Chronicles on PS1, now THAT was a value package. FFIV and Chrono Trigger for $40 at release and $20 within six months of release.

I'll be buying the FFTactics remake/port but thats pretty much it along those lines. 

I liked FF III's remake and IV is one of my all time faves so I'm going to pick this up :)

Don't forget that Crysis Core is coming for the PSP.

Oh boy. statements like what you said has already been said for a long time in the FF IV DS boards. Try to come up with something original will you? SE wants money and maybe they thought FF IV would sell more on the DS than the PSP.

SE wants money is exclusive from my argument really.  SE can have all the cash they want, but the game will still be better made for the PSP.

Not really sure what's so much better about touchscreen controls. 

Another FF remake. Yet another time that SE focuses its attention on re-releasing a bloody FF game for at least the 2nd time (might be 3rd for this one by now), instead of doing something, ANYTHING with the countless other excellent franchises it's got the rights to. *sigh*

Thats funny considering the game your avatar is based off of has sucky controls compared to the freaking Gameboy C1assic original.

Hopefully Square changes the archetypical cliched characters in Final Fantasy 4. And adds some depth to them. Giving them more character development. And makes them three dimensional.

I also hope they flesh out Golbez's character so they don't make him seem like a saturday morning cartoon villain.

Yeah fantasitc FMV...

However Crisis core still makes it look like crap by comparison, and now psp has a smash brothers style project from square with similar graphic capabilities in the release list.  Lets not forget that GoW: CoO is still comming out this year too.  I'm all for the DS, but I've never bought a nintendo portable product for anything but FFT style games and castlevania and now PSP is getting at least one of each so I really have no reason to give nintendo any money this gen.

I'm not dissing SE's games on the PSP they make, but nothing comapares to FF IV in terms of what Final Fantasy is suppose to be. IMO, it's the best (next to FF VI) FF game out there and seeing a remake brings tears to my eyes. I grew up with FF IV with doing every possible thing in the game, capping the time limit to 99:99. Old school players should appriciate a remake of such a great FF. If they did this with VI to the DS...

I know people don't like to see remakes happen but this one is highly due. I've been begging for this kind of remake and finally it's happening. It also has the release date (if I read my japanese correctly) of 7/31/07. Which means my inner child is saying "Import!".
