If I want to socialize with people, I usually go out and do something.  I don't usually invite people over to play games and such.  Besides, I'm more of a single-player experience guy anyways.  I like gaming because its something I can do on my free time by myself without the hassle of others.  There are a lot better things to do in the world than invite friends over and play games. 

I also won't buy a system just because non-gamers and Nintendo fanboys like it.  The system has to interest me, and quite frankly from what I have seen and played of it, I wasn't impressed by the selection of games or the way they played.  The only game that interests me on the Wii that is out right now is TP, and I played that on my Gamecube already. 

Of course, that is my personal opinion and I realize your opinion and other's opinions are different than my own.
