As a gamer you shouldnt need to be convinced. The ps3 is great. I love my 360 better atm, but bluray is awesome. If you have a hd tv bluray should not be missed. Upcoming titles look to be epic. I always own all the consoles so I never miss out on any great games. I even own the crap that is know as the wii. Smg was good.........

I've just notice you don't have to because you don't have a PS3. Just swap out the HDD when you get one. Is your 240 gig a Laptop HDD?

But they are still multiplat, you can get them elsewhere other than the 360. For someone with all 3 consoles, both handhelds and a gaming computer the choice is obvious :|

Seriously though, how many of them are established franchises from last gen? Those move systems quite frankly, and numbers don't mean quality m'fraid. I could list a few more A->AA PS3 exclusive games if you want but the games listed up there by SgtWhiskey all seemed AAA standard :|

I've been 'just waiting' for ages, but the MGS4 bundle with DS3 does sound a bit tempting.

When is it's UK release?

Seems like a no-brainer then ...... go for it. Just don't come back in the summer claiming that your PS3 has been collecting dust for a while. You could always try the online sensation Wowhawk , Ratchet and Clank , Heavenly Sword , Hot Shots Golf , and whatever.

If you want to get ti because you are interested in playing the games it has then more power to you. You aren't crazy, you are just a gamer.

Uncharted is great, GT5 Prologue is utterly broken online and would have an unacceptable amount of content if it were full price, but is still fun when your not grinding on the same events for new cars. The graphics aren't as good as cows and all the bullshots would have you believe either. Many of the good shots are from the main menu's backdrop (which is rendered in a tiny game area and runs at about 10fps). I would REALLY have to advise you don't bother with it. Here's an indicator of how bad the online mode is.

Every single race I've played has been this laggy. Every race I've played has also been full of utter cretins who couldn't drive a tricycle in the Sahara desert without crashing into something.

I would strongly advise Ratchet and Clank : Tools of Destruction (The GS review is a joke ),Ninja Gaiden : Sigma (just for the new menu music), Resistance and maybe Motorstorm. Get a DS3 from abroad or when it's released as well. The SIXAXIS feels absolutely horrible. I've probably find the slick menus and HDMI quality to keep me away from my 360 for quite a while (although there haven't been any new games out for the 360 for donkies) and it's been the same case with a friend of mine. Seeing how it's pretty much the best all-around Blu Ray player on the market as well I'd say you'll have a good time with it :)

The only problems are the lack of in-game XBM, and many of the online games suck. Literally every non-ranked match in Resistance are one-hit-kill games. They're about as fun as attending a funeral.
