http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5aAs-vZ4rZE looks absolutely gorgeous, from what i have read the story involves a boy trying to bring his mother back from the dead. Can there even be a more engaging and sympathetic storyline? looks like its a ps3 exclusive.YankeesNYC4life
FMA much?
Remind me of the feeling I get the first time I saw Okami, great art style!mystervjohhh man im currently playing okami and im loving it! only 15 hours in though... im looking foward to this studio ghibli/level 5 game too! woo!
looks fantastic. This is probably the only time im ever going to say this about a game, but: IM SO glad its on the ps3 and not on wii/xbox360.
i normaly dont care for graphics, but when such strong art is involved i want it to be on the strongest platform.
this game is also coming out for the DS aswell, and the art is made by legendary studio ghibli
absolutely gorgeous

You aren't saying the DS version is going to be the same as the PS3 version are you? :?[QUOTE="ZIVX"]
It's from Studio Ghibli, of course it's great.
It's not really a PS3 exclusive, the game was announced to be on the DS first

Look at my other post above you, LEVEL-5 said the 2 games will be completely different and each one got a very different style and story but both of them will have the same start of the story or something like that.

Somewhat but not really....That happens in the beginning of FMA which leads to the story of them trying to get their bodies back[QUOTE="YankeesNYC4life"]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5aAs-vZ4rZE looks absolutely gorgeous, from what i have read the story involves a boy trying to bring his mother back from the dead. Exact same thoughts :Pyea it looks charming and it looks very original. sometimes you get sick of shooting the guts out of someone or blowing people up.I love Studio Ghibli. I'll get this game day one as it looks so charming and fun.

For the Japanese ver. theres no chance itll have English subs. But thats fine, My Japanese is pretty strong.
But it it never comes here, you might still have a chance with the Asian/Chinese ver. It always releases around the same time as the Japanese ver. and usually has English Subs. 2 recent examples would be Demons Souls and FFXIII. DS is all in English and FFXIII has japanese voices with English subs.
Is this game only going to be available in Japan?
BPoole96
Nope Level 5 confirmed a English release. only on PS3!

When is the DS version coming? I heard PS3 version was different, so that's good.SaltyMeatballs
The DS version is coming out this winter? in Japan and is being considered for localization, along with Inazuma 11.
How is this the best looking jrpg this console generation again? It doesn't seem to be doing anything out of the ordinary or particularly better than the competition judging from the video. And it's hard to say a game has a good story based on a, like, five minute trailer in a foreign language.vashkeycan you name one that looks better? this one actually looks original and the art direction looks beautiful.
It is still PS3 exclusive those are two different games with different subtitles. They have the same background information. It's from Studio Ghibli, of course it's great.
It's not really a PS3 exclusive, the game was announced to be on the DS first
ZIVX
The PS3 game is called Ninokuni: Queen of White Ashes.
The DS game is called Ninokuni: The Ebony Wizard.
LOst ODyssey was decent at best. I wouldn't place it as best JRPG this gen.Best JRPG this gen = Lost Odyssey

I thought it was Ninokuni The Another Worldbest JRPG this gen (so far) = Tales of Vesperia
Also the most underrated game this gen. I seem to be the only who thinks so though...
On topic, the game looks beautiful, but the battle system looked really bad in that trailer imo.
alfredooo
I agree with all your points.
As for this game, It looks TOO childish. I can tolerate a certain level of it in JRPGs, but this is just too much. It seems they designed the game for 10 year olds.
Why can' someone make an awesome JRPG for adults? Something like Lost Odyssey without the annoying kids lol.

FF13vs is supposed to be the most mature FF ever released and have real time battles.
If it ever gets released...

Thats LEVEL-5 style like Inazuma eleven and Professor Layton and they seem to be very good at it and it brings a lot of money for them.
