The fall dashboard update will obviously get a lot of marketing to raise awareness. MS will also market the **** out of the above games. They will also advertise that you can play all PS3 multiplats on a $199 360 instead of a $400 console.

MS will win this holiday against PS3.......in NA at least. This isnt being a fanboy....well it is but that doesnt make it not true.

LBP is a new franchise and Sony will promote it in about every commercial they get just like MS did with Gears. I wouldn't even mention Fable as a established franchise. Its a franchise built on broken promises and lies from Peter Molyneux. Anybody that says Resistance 2 will outsell Gears is fooling themselves. The basic fact is that 360 will win in Software sales this holiday season but the PS3 has a better chance of winning the hardware sales(well versus the 360 at least).

While some of your OPINIONS are likely, that doesn't make them fact. Gears 2 does have a lot of hype, but I've read a preview saying it doesn't play as smooth as Gears 1. It will also likely sell more than Resistance 2, but that doesn't necessarily make it a better game. Personally I'm looking forward more to Resistance than Gears 2.

In regard to LBP, Fable 2, and Banjo, so what? Again, that doesn't make them better games. IMO, it's nice to see a new franchise started instead of just rehashes. I'm probably not going to get LBP, but I think it's great their doing something different.

IMO, I'm not looking forward to the new update as I prefer the blade system. I prefer my 360, but I also appreciate my ps3.

Who cares who wins this XMAS. Fanboys will be arguing over which console is best while gamers will be enjoying a plethora of great games.

Overall, I'm unsure of the point of your entire post. Are you claiming ownage that MS will spend marketing money? Of course they will. Who cares what sells and what doesn't. It seems like any innovative game (Psychonauts for example) that is awesome doesn't sell, while Madden 09, Gears 2, etc. sell millions. I'll take innovation over sales any day.

EDIT: why does it matter how much a game sells, as long as i know im enjoying it, and i can share that same expierience with other people then sells dont matter in the slightest sense

I agree, but only to a point. Sales are important, without them your console will fail and there won't BE anymore games... one's that interest you or otherwise.
