Anyone remember how this moment made them feel? this is the sort of depth and soul that franchises like halo and COD don't have.

It was, what you would call...Nostaligic.

Truly a nostalgic throw-back for the fans, but I wouldnt go as far as to make those kinds of claims

It felt good going through that level again.But I felt more immersed by the story of MGS4 itself than having to play though SM.

Agreeeeeeed, TC, it was a very moving and emotional moment and the music is still my favorite in MGS series, it's a very calm but extermely moving scene, Kojima knows what moves the fans for sure.

you know why it was awesome becasue it was using parts from Metal Gear Solid 1, when the story didnt become an absurd mess piled with poo poo pancakes, and emo old men.

Yeah, that was a great moment in MGS4, but that's just one of many great moments in what is the greatest game of all time

IIII'm pretty sure a nostalgia-trip to a prior generation being the best moment in the current generation isn't a good thing...at all.

Best moment of 2007.

Just about every moment in MGS4 is the best in gaming this gen. That part wasn't particularly important to me as I hadn't played the previous titles.

Although MGS4 is my favourite game this gen, I really think they screwed up that part. It had so much potential to be ace, but they went and f****d it up by putting those damn little robots in. It would have been a million times better if there were guards or something.
