best moment this gen.

Anyone remember how this moment made them feel? this is the sort of depth and soul that franchises like halo and COD don't have.

All i see is an old hunchback running around lost in a blizzard... i guess we should just throw out every other epic moment and great advancement in gaming this gen and celebrate this if that's what you're into

So the best part of this gen is a remake of a level from a previous gen game? Really?

I personally would go with the metal gear battle or Demon souls Knight Tower :)

It felt good going through that level again. But I felt more immersed by the story of MGS4 itself than having to play though SM.

Agreeeeeeed, TC, it was a very moving and emotional moment and the music is still my favorite in MGS series, it's a very calm but extermely moving scene, Kojima knows what moves the fans for sure.

you know why it was awesome becasue it was using parts from Metal Gear Solid 1, when the story didnt become an absurd mess piled with poo poo pancakes, and emo old men.

When you first leave the starting area in TES: Oblivion and Fallout 3.

Yeah, that was a great moment in MGS4, but that's just one of many great moments in what is the greatest game of all time

The firsttwo minutes of this video is another one of my favorite game moments from this gen (SPOILERS for Red Dead Redemption): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w3UPwsOtDg8

It was just so unexpected and badass. Rockstar reallyhas done great this time around. Oh, and don't ask me why the player just stands there and does nothing when dead-eye activates.

Yeah, coming over that hill to see Shadow Moses again was just... so amazing. The *ahem* boss fight at the end of that chapter was even better though. Man, that game is amazing.

Just about every moment in MGS4 is the best in gaming this gen. That part wasn't particularly important to me as I hadn't played the previous titles.

Although MGS4 is my favourite game this gen, I really think they screwed up that part. It had so much potential to be ace, but they went and f****d it up by putting those damn little robots in. It would have been a million times better if there were guards or something.

I'm sick of seeing fan threads turn into hate threads. They just attract haters. I swear some people have more fun complaing and nitpicking about games than playing games. But this is SW :( Anyways, I totally agree, most games don't have near the depth of appeciation MGS can summon, if you let yourself go with it.
