The first level of Sonic Adventure 2 where Sonic is running thru the city may well be the best platforming level I have played.
But that is not the case with the rest of the game.
It happens.

That's my main problem with the Adventure series. The first few levels with Sonic are incredible, then everything grinds to a halt. Then you have to play through several other characters in some really boring levels and go FISHING. FISHING. BLOODY FISHING. WHO'S BLOODY IDEA WAS BIG THE CAT?

well, great level, but the real greatness lies in the variety of the levels.
I liked the Strider battle with the Magusson device. It frustrated the hell out of me, but damn is it intense.heretrix
you mean the final level?.. damn.. that was hard.

Yeah. But it was just hard enough. Not so hard that you would quit, it was just enough to make you try it again..I was just using the car to kill the Hunters though.

yep, me too especially the final section. just drive around and kill them. but i think it's the hardest level of the game. You loose so much time when you miss....

It was a fun level, and I was amazed that I made it through on the first try.[QUOTE="Willy105"]The first level of Sonic Adventure 2 where Sonic is running thru the city may well be the best platforming level I have played.

You obviously haven't played SA2 then... Cause there is no fishing or any annoying mini games like that from SA1, SA2 is leaps better that SA1.
To the above poster who says that is the best platforming lvl, that level doesnt evenhave that much platforming in it most of it's just running down straight road and getting chased by that truck. Theres more platforming in the end level the space one where your grinding along the rails. Not to mention the cheesy escape from thecity music was highly annoying after 4 minutes of listenin to it.

I have played it, and I've completed it. There isn't any fishing, yes, but there was still the problem of being made to play through rehashed/poor levels with other characters that weren't much fun. The fishing in SA1 absolutely took the biscuit though.

It was a fun level, and I was amazed that I made it through on the first try. You did better than me..I was down to my last shack and it was pretty much to the wire..But that's what made it cool. It was actually the last stand for me. A couple more seconds and bam. All over. lol.[QUOTE="Dahaka-UK"][QUOTE="MegaPigeon"][QUOTE="Willy105"]The first level of Sonic Adventure 2 where Sonic is running thru the city may well be the best platforming level I have played.

So you don´t like Zelda then are you?
I played all of episode 2 at a friends house, and that strider battle was insane. He kept yelling at me, "Ur gonna die ur gonna die LOL" so I got all paranoid, and just started going crazy. Running over hunters, sniping striders with the gravity gun from across the map (You're not gonna hit him. You're wasting a bomb. Its not- holy hell! How did that- Shoot it, SHOOT IT!!1!), that was one of the most intense missions I've ever played.
Defending the mine shaft was pretty crazy, too.
That battle was pretty easy. 3 double barrel shotgun blasts kills a hunter.slickchris7777
That take's roughly 10 seconds. You also tend to have about 3 charging at you at the same time. they also run incredibly fast and have deadly explosive syringe guns. It was far from easy.
The level in Genji with the Giant Enemy Crab is the best level ever. You see, you have to attack the Giant Enemy Crab's weak point for massive damage.
P.S. I've never played Genji. :P
