Seriously...we all know that the 360 and PS3 are pretty much the same when it comes to graphical power (at this point in time at least) the only advantage the PS3 has is blu-ray which can easily be negated with another disk.  Honestly I think that the PS3 holds games back.

riddle me this cows...if the PS3 is so powerful then why didnt the games look better out of the gate or now even?  All previous powerful consoles displayed their superiority from day one.

I am very tired of hearing "microsoft ruined gta". Give me a fricking break.  It will probably end up looking better on the 360 due to the familararity of the platform rockstar has (table tennis comes to mind). Please just stop it cows. Thanks

I agree, those threads are stupid, which is why I have been staying out of them.

Seeing as how GTA is already a BAD game, neither the PS3 nor the 360 can really make it any worse.

The games bad enough as it is, get over it.

Had the game been exclusive to PS3, there is no doubt the game would have been that much more amazing.

Lets the Cows speculate, that's what they're good at

We all know they'll get owned at the end,

they always do,

why do you think the PS3 is such a failure.

What is true, is true

Rockstar said that "The Xbox 360's lack of a guaranteed hard disk is creating limitations in Grand Theft Auto IV's development, Rockstar has acknowledged......Rockstar's creative vice president Dan Houser was asked: "On PS3 you've got a guarantee that every machine is going to have a hard-drive and, with Blu-ray, you've got plenty of storage, whereas on Xbox 360 there's no guarantee of a hard-drive and you're working with the DVD format. Does that create limitations?" To which he replied, "Yep."

I'm sorry, but GTA is truly an excellent, innovative franchise packed with a lot of gameplay value. It may be violent, it may have been copied by other developers multiple times, but GTA stands the test of time and has reached out to the mass market. It is truly an excellent game series. Also, GameSpot gave all three for PS2 a 9.6.

So by the same token, wouldn't GTA 3 have been a lot better if it had been an Xbox exclusive?  This is a tired, circular argument.

the interesting thing is that even if they make a game that requires the hard disk, there would still probably be more 360 users (market) than ps3.

what? im just pointing out the fact that cows are acting like the game will be totally unplayable or something. I acknowlege that not having a standard HDD and smaller capacity disks hurts a game like GTA SOMEWHAT but not a whole lot. Look at last gen GTA's for example.  The xbox version just had faster loadtimes and sharper graphics.  Also you can look at the 360 version of oblivion. IF a HDD was detected data was cached to it in order to speed up loading times and have a better game experience. If not then longer load times and all that jazz. Not that hard to do the same for GTA

It's not innovative. GTAIII was innovative. The rest simply wasn't at all. And you can't deny most aspects of the gameplay are just done wrong. The shooting is... well, I don't have to explain that. The driving sucks and the fighting even more. You have a great deal of fun with the game because you can do so much and it's an open world. But that doesn't make the gameplay elements in the game good. If GTA was set in a closed world, you wouldn't enjoy it at all. And it would get terrible scores.

A console ruining anything I ROFLAMO when I heard this. Really are these cows listening to themselves, man the desparation of the "Cows" is really getting out of control. Oh well it doesn't matter becuse they are about to get thier just deserts, I hear Sony is putting out PS4 next year. What happened to the 10 year console? Just face it Cows sony doesn't care about the PS3 it was just a trojan horse to get you all to buy a blue ray player. Yeah they had to throw a GPU in it so they could convince you it can play games.

Come on you can do better than that 360 ruining GTA is like saying peeing in the wind will cause a flood. "Cows" looking pritty desparate, and silly saying this type of garbage.

Well, if they focus it on the 360 and port it to the PS3, it'll look the same. If they focus it on the PS3 and port it to the 360 it'll look better on the PS3. PS3 losing exclusives means that the games don't take full advantage of the  console's power, and so obviously can't be as good as they should... Also, it'll take time for the devs to get used to the PS3 as the 360 has been out longer, so it's only natural that they can produce better graphics, but when the devs really tap into the PS3's potential, the games will sweep the floor compared to the 360.
