This trailer for DBZ: Xenoverse looks pretty awesome.

Not that many of you actually care, but it seems that we may be finally be getting a GOOD Dragon Ball Z game. Battle of Z and Ultimate Tenkaichi were disappointments.

Come on. You don't even have to be a fan of anime to admit that this game looks pretty cool.

This game is pissing me off.

I've been waiting for a decently good DBZ game since the end of the PS2 era and this game is looks some what decent but its has too many nonsense bull crap that I just cant give it the ok.

I just want a good DBZ game... why is that so hard?

This game almost looked like it was finally going to be it, but its not there yet.

I bought the last major DBZ game and I never played it. This looks great too. Dammit.

What are you talking about? This looks great! Alt timeline would be a great way to be able to relive the universe and implement a custom character. Make this co-op it'll be perfect.

thats the fucking problem with all the DBZ games last gen, they were all flash an no substance.

Its all about the looks and cinematic, but all the gameplay is shitty.

Sure, like you said this one has cool concept that seems to have a good production value behind it and character creation (which isnt as great as you think becuz you are really limited in you customization and even more limited in your characters abilities), but the gameplay fighting mechanics are still the same old garbage.

What I hate the most about these DBZ games is that everything breaks off into a mini cinematic. You go to do an attack, and instead of just doing it, it goes into a mini cutscene cinematic of the character doing the attack. Thats annoying and bullshit.

@Wasdie: I haven't heard anything about any co-op, sadly. (Local co-op) I'm terrified that they left it out of this one. I have heard that this game will have split screen multiplayer and online co-op.

This game is going to have 1v1, 2v2, and 3v3 battles. No local co-op in this game would be a HUGE waste. I don't always want to fight my friends, darn it.

Game still looks great, though.

man those graphics are looking like Clayfighter's and the premise of this story-line it's really pathetic and cliche. Time travel or space settings are what is often used on franchises that have already gotten every drop of milk squeezed out of it.

Let us hope that the trailer shows that it is a good game.

I read the man who made it is making more manga. A new movie was released not long ago (the trailer features the cat character) and a new movie will be released soon.

Concept is kind of cool...but man, the gameplay is the same old shit, is it really that hard to make something more diverse and fun?

yep... dont get me wrong the original Tenkaichi style of game play was pretty decent, but now all the extra cinematic crap added on to the gameplay handicaps it a swell as they keep making it simpler and simpler every game to the point of "just press one button and the game will do the rest". And the Tenkaichi stlye of gameplay has been around since the first three Tenkaichi PS2 games in 2005.

The same old gameplay has been in like atleast 6 more games in those 10 years.

Why the hell can they do atleast one game with Budokai gameplay?
