Actually I disliked Gears because of how every player spawns with the all-powerful shotgun and its host advantage. Otherwise, it was a great game but not deserving of that 9.6 and GotY. leviathan91

well just because you buy it for blu ray doesnt mean ull pick up a few titles.

i saw some guy at best buy pick one up for bluray...then he got a few games. i know he wasnt a gamer because he was like "ive never owned a playbox before" and the sales guy rolled his eyes.

I would agree with Haris on this one...for me GEOW was the first wow game and it is still my most enjoyable game to play with friends on line. As to the notion that the shotgun is all powerful, I would have to disagree. In the hands of a good player the active reload sniper is far more powerful as are the boom shot and torque bow. Just my opinion though.

As far as graphics right now I would have to say out of the games I own/have played Uncharted is the best. I am patiently waiting Resistance 2 and KZ2 though and hope they live up to the hype.

Oblivion and GRAW beat it to the whole next gen graphics stuff. Gears is awesome looking, but it wasn't the first truly next gen game out. I personally don't like the gameplay, but that is my opinion.

Doesn't that depend on the console owner to decide on that? It doesn't mattter what other people like, it what you like. Personally the only games i would buy for the 360 would be gears, bioshock and halo 3. For ps3 i would get ratchet, heavenly sword, warhawk, uncharted, resistance.(also ninja gaiden:sigma some people consider it exclsuive and other multiplat)) (excuding multiplats).

I got a PS3 with most of the PS3 games i listed above but ill probely get a game for my birth day (warhawk hopefully) and im waiting till resistance to go GH because i heard sony is launching the greatest hits line so ill wait a bit to save $30. As for heavenly sword im waiting to get my blu ray movies and im going to trade them in for store credit and buy HS.
