GOD! I have just bought halo 3 and was really happy! I poped inn the disc and was going to start the campain... and this message comes up!

I was at the store when it opend..just got realeased 1 hour ago here inn norway!!! if you guys have any advise give it too me! the disc has no marks no scratches on it plz help me!!!
Do you have a can of compressed air? There might be dust on the lens. I shoot some air in there every couple months. Just curious, is this a Limited Edition Halo 3?

But it sounds like the real issue with the Limited Edition is the discs being scratched because they've come loose. But you said the disc looks fine, right? No scratches or marks what so ever?

if you got the special editon one im worried b/c ive got it coming in the morning and ive heard the discs get scratched and if that is your problem than that isnt good...

Do other games still work? If yes, its probably just a faulty disk. Try to trade it in for another one at the store you bought it from.

shoulden't this go on general game disscussion or xbox 360, but i feel for ya, i would be rather pissed if that happend to my copy of brawl ( does not yet have a 360)
Trade your copy for a new one... problem fixed. I had that too at launch with Need For Speed most wanted... freezes every time or so in a while and very often it wouldnt read the disc at all. The disc looked clean... but once I traded in for a new one all worked fine for me.

It's because Samus snuck into Bungie studios, and used her scan visor to scramble up Halo 3. She then proceeded to spray-paint all the Master Chief costumes red/gold. The spray-paint was personal, but scrambling up Halo 3 was to save the world. If she hadn't messed it up, the amount of awesome contained within would have imploded the universe. The side effect of her legendary (Samus wouldn't use a cowardly heroic difficulty) effort was that some discs don't work.
