I think it looks pretty interesting

I have my doubts.
If by looks you mean graphics then it needs tons of polishing.
The game itself looks interesting.
Some people are actually expecting 255 on-screen at once, but its much more squad based than that.
Hopefully its not a disaster because there are so many ways it can go wrong.
I would rather that they make a new Socom game
It looks fun, but I think they missed a huge oppertunity. Rather than doing a linnear stream of objectives in an assault and defense style map, they should have taken it 1 step further and done what Project Reality to make the games objectives feel a lot more dynamic and :un-gamy"
I also think the map looked kind of small considering the amount of players playing.
are you talking graphics or fun level? it's gonna be hella fun, but the graphics are pretty trash except for raven. for some reason raven guys get real hair for their beards, and the other 2 get 6 polygon faces. but hey, a 128 killing spree, HELL YEAH
Not bad for 256 but I probably won't pick it up. Not too fond of MP only games, I learned that after buying SOCOM: Confrontation (It's good, but it feels like a waste when I don't play it that much)siLVURcrossThe only reason I own SOCOM: Confrontation is because of the headset :P.
One question though. Why 256 players? Why such an obscure number?clubsammich91
they want to be different. first console game with that many. i want to try it out
One question though. Why 256 players? Why such an obscure number?clubsammich91Maybe it is a not a some older PCs that only displayed 256 colors. Because now PCs diplay Millions of colors.

You don't see the pattern? 16 32 64 128 256 512 etc...just like with RAM and stuff.
I forgot about that. One question though. Why 256 players? Why such an obscure number?clubsammich91Probably something to do with coding?

I never thought of it like that.I don't think that they are trying to sell graphics.More than one team trying to capture a goal and do objectives sounds good. I'm interested to see how they pull it or, or if they CAN pull it off. I thought Bad Company was good because they force guys to play as teams. I don't think people are making it out to be the next great game. Are they?
The question is, will all these players work as a team? In KZ2 you are supposed to be in squads and communicate within your squad and other squads, but rarley in KZ2 MP have I seen that happen.I don't think that they are trying to sell graphics.More than one team trying to capture a goal and do objectives sounds good. the game should come with a headset then. hopefully
Any word on a beta?-DrRobotnik-No word as yet, hopefully it'll come soon. Anyone out there thinking it looks terrible, if you have a PS3 then download part 1 of the sony E3 show from the PS Store, the MAG footage is 16 minutes in and is in 720p so you can see all the detail, it's actully quite decent looking in the graphics department, much better than the haters are trying to make out. From what i've seen so far, i'll have MAG before i have MW2, MAG is more my cup of tea as i like large scale combat as i used to play Joint Ops and 64 player BF2 on PC.

That's because KZ2 doesn't pull teamwork of very well or should i say it never used to, this was because allthough it had all these things to try and make you work as a team nearly every mode ended up being deathmarth due to the old spawn grenade setup and how much armour the assault/rocket class had, these things have been addressed now and things do seem to be a lot better (from what i've played). The E3 demo that I saw on G4 was terrible. The graphics were subpar, and the gameplay seemed boring and unoriginal.LoseEagles1245Well, that was just a small part of the game. So for all we know that demo barly scratched the surface of MAG
Well, that was just a small part of the game. So for all we know that demo barly scratched the surface of MAG I dont think they are anywhere close to ready. It seems to me that they are demoing the game just because they need heavy contenders for E3.[QUOTE="LoseEagles1245"]The E3 demo that I saw on G4 was terrible.
