so what are you lot expecting come E3 2012 when Nintendo officially unveils their revamped WiiU? what exactly was the problem with the model they showed at last E3. was it the big controller, underwhelming rumored console power, or the fact that they had virtually no games to show other than third party games running on PS360. IMO that entire showing was a debacle, they were in such a hurry to show someting new in the face of dwindling Wii sells. so they rush some unfinished hardware in, throw a 60 second zelda tech demo together and show games running on their competitors last gen consoles. no wonder they are doing it again at E32012, can you imagin how much flack MS would take if they were to unveil the 360 showing xbox1 or PS2 games. i hope it all ends well for them but i'm afraid they might be too late because rumors say that MS will have a proper unveiling of "Loop" Nintendo had their window of opportunity but struck out.

i think im in the minority when i say i didn't mind the look of the controller, and everyone who used it said it was very comfortable. console gaming needs these types of innovation because i don't want to see all 3 companies just up graphics and leave the gamepads completely unchanged.

I want to see multiplats running on the hardware, the price tag, and the exclusives in the works and some of the launch titles.

And specs would be fantastic but it's nintendo, it won't happen. I'll just have to wait until it's out for those.

can't really have thoughts about it if it has yet to happen and there is no new information to let me form an opinion about it.

It was more concept based than anything else. Other than some multiplats and tech demos, it was...I dunno. Did they even really show the console or just the controller?

He has a point though. What's the point of three companies just adding more horse power and online? They need to do more than that, especially since the PC can do the same, except better.

I dont think Ninty really evaluated the market prior to developing the Wii U. They did an EXCELLENT job with that prior to the wii. I can remember getting multiple surveys in the 2yrs leading up to the Wii. I think Ninty needs to stay ahead of the market, and i dont think the Wii U is it. Sony and MS get it, its about making the box a multimedia machine on top of the games............with great 3rd party support. Wii got lucky, but lighting doesnt strike twice.................or does it? :P

If they rereveal it and it doesnt have another giant gimmick controller i would probably buy a Wii U. Nintendo has completely fallen off my rader in gaming since the Wii was released.

The same could be said for Sony and the PS3. Remember, it took a complete relaunch and rebranding of the system with the PS3 Slim for the system to actually start selling.

I would rather have the Kinect way, complete immersion and interaction with the game, like you are in it

Than actually moving away from immersion with having a huge akward pad and two screens to look at while playing, loosing any focus on the game

Indeed. However (correct me if I am wrong),I do not recall Sony"re-revealing" the PS3 at E3 like Nintendo is now going to do with the Wii U.

If one is going to reveal an entirely new, next generation gaming system, best get it right the first time. That line of thought currently applies to Nintendo. Should M$ and/or Sony not get it right the first time when they reveal their next generation consoles, it will then apply to them as well as Nintendo.

Correct, but one could also argue that at least Nintendo managed to identify and rectify its errors before the system launched, unlike Sony. I mean, if I had to relaunch a system, I'd rather do it before the system's even launched rather than suffer a botched launch like the PS3 and the 3DS.

They needed to do this badly imo. The showing was poor and a lot of people thought the tablet was the console at first. Also I want see if they changed their minds about the number of tablets that can be used.

I want to see Wii-U games, how the online works, and pricing.

thing is, nintendo isn't even relaunching. it's more of an "introduction scene, take two, aaaand action!" thing. they're going to pretend the previous announcement didn't happen and announce it from scratch, and they're doing it before any actual damage has happened.

I agree. However, my inital point still stands: * Nintendo should've gotten it right the first time.

* Getting it right would have meant a good inital showing at E3. They should have waited, instead of revealing the Wii U so early. They should've waited for games to show, and they should have rectified the major errors before revealing the system.

As for Sony and/or M$, they should take notes, learn from Nintendo's mistakes (as well as their own), and get it right the first time.(Hopefully...)

I believe the Darksiders II devs had the game fully running on the Wii-U and wanted to show it at E3. Nintendo for some strange reason said no. Makes me wonder if other devs had games to show but couldn't.

I agree with you though. They should have gotten it right the first time. Nintendo really could have owned E3.

^Pretty much this However if you are asking what I'm expecting from the Wii U showcase in 2012,then that would be First party games and a reworking of the tablet controller concept Especially the latter because when I heard that there would be only 1 tablet controller per console, I grew skeptical of how this would work. It would be really confusing for developers to work with because they would have to work with both wiimote and tablet controls which would be just a mess. So I really just want Nintendo to stick with one control setup.

Wii U is cool long as they don't show any glorfied Zelda remakes, but the chances of that is likely.

I'm hoping for a demo of an EPIC Star Fox or F Zero game that blows away anything we've seen before.
