 Halo and hardcore? In the same sentence? :lol:thirstychainsawUnless your saying "Halo is not hardcore" then I agree 100%.

You know this is from the same people that told America, the people who are causing global warming and fighting random wars, they were the "person of the year."
They don't exactly have great judgement.
I can't wait until the journalism side of the industry gets big enough to start crushing these magazines.
Not only them, but stuff like VGA's are a disgusting display of propaganda that make gamers like myself want to throw up.
I hope there is a time when video games will get the right respect they deserve.
I can't believe they even omitted Crysis and World in Conflict. Is it because they are feeble minded and can't use a computer?
Saying that Ace Combat 6 is better than God of War 2, is like saying Alexander is bette than Gladiator.
I respect Time, but it seriously pisses me off when people who don't know the industry attempt to do something based only on hype.
TIME has posted their top ten video games of 2007 for all to see. And because they're TIME, we'll write about it. We're not sure if we agree that their #1 pick Halo 3 is "the perfect hardcore first-person combat simulator" that has been perfected like "a pebble that has been rounded over the centuries by the gentle splashing of the ocean waves," but we certainly appreciate the poetic diction. The list has all your big players, but no love for COD4. Here's their top ten in full:
1. Halo 3 YES
2. The Orange Box YES
3. Rock Band YES
4. Super Mario Galaxy YES
5. BioShock YES
6. Call of Duty 4 YES
7. Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass NOOOOOOOOOOOOO
8. Mass Effect NOOOOOO
9. Ace Combat 6: Fires of Liberation NOOOOOOOOOOOOO...OOOOOOOOOOO
10. God of War 2 YES

There is nothing wrong with Mass Effect and Phantom Hourglass. I beat LoZ:PH and personally thought it was fantastic. Ace Combat isn't a very good game though.
Top 10 casual games of 2007. Except the Orange Box.Frunku
The list would have started out Guitar Hero 3 if it was top 10 casual games of 2007.
Perhaps it's a failing of mine but I can't seem to wrap my head around why TIME magazine is an authority on gaming.
I'm not a TIME reader so I'm just spit-ballin' here:
I think those standings are based on either sales or hype. If not, then I'll be using GameSpot's picks as my yard stick to assess TIME's competence as game reviewers.
