Read IGN's article on this before I go any further, so you know this is not just my own delusional ranting :P.

http://www.ign.com/articles/2012/11/...still-possible

If you are a Timesplitters fan I need say no more.

If you were a fan of Goldeneye 64 or Perfect Dark 64, and have not played any Timesplitters game, now is your chance. The Timesplitters series was made by a talented team with many of the master minds (David Doak and more) behind GE64 and PD64 on it. It retains all the things that make those games great, and expands upon it quite a bit.

Timesplitters features:

- singleplayer OR co-op campaigns
- Agent style missions (not just run and gun or pure stealth)
- multiple difficulties (varying objectives) with unlockables as rewards
- challenges with unlockables as rewards
- insanely customizable multiplayer
- Bots
- dozens of characters (some bad*** some dowright hillarious)
- dozens of amazing weapons (with customizable weaponsets)
- Many modes (from Deathmatch and Elimenation, to Infection and King of the Hill)
- Map Editor
- and more

Petition Link (won't link properly, please C+P into your adress bar)

https://www.change.org/en-GB/petitions/crytek-uk-create-a-timesplitters-hd-collection

Please consider signing this petition, for the sake of all FPS fans who are dieing to see games like Perfect Dark, Goldeneye, and Timesplitters to make a return. It is sad to see how most FPS games now have 12 boring guns, 8 maps, 4 cliche modes, no bots, no challenges, and a boring run and gun campaign. TImesplitters demolishes those numbers and does it all in style!

If this works, I hope they plan an HD Collection for Wii U as well. I know the TS series didn't start on Nintendo consoles, but bearing in mind that the games are based on shooters FROM a Nintendo console, it would feel odd without it.

What does a console have to do with anything related to games design?

TS2. The best one. Well it was my favorite, though TS3 did upgrade some things (and downgrade others).

Please explain why you think there is a market for more shooters regardless of the little differences? it came out when shooters were not THIS big. it would not be a big player now, and im damn confident in that claim.

Different type of game altogether. Little differences? No, they are not little. And why do it? cause even a small sale for an HD collection is a big sale.

PS - you are talking about Crytek...what else are they going to make?

Crytek don't even know how to make good multiplayer. All they know how to do is make great engines.

They won't bother taking a chance on TS4 if no one wants TSHD Collection. And if TS4 or TSHD doesn't get made, we will be stuck with a slew of FPS's that suck! :P

The TS games were so good. Not as good as Perfect Dark imo. But, still i would love to have the HD collection if it came out. So many good memories.

NaveedLife

TS3 was objectively better in almost every way (except for the campaign which was worse).

The feature set was richer, the characters were more vibrant, the options were greater.

Now they did change the gunplay and it is debatable about which one was better. But it's debatable.

Agreed. TS3 is the better game overall with more to it, but TS2 had a better campaign. Especialy because TS3 warped you around in co-op :P.

Plus TS3 got a BIT too silly at times in the campaign lol.

TS2's campaign had some design issues I felt that TS3's did resolve. But TS2's had so much more creativity and variety. You played one TS3 mission and you've played them all. Each TS2 mission had it's own quirks. NeoTokyo will always be that mission I remember, because it was so cool and unique (and even a bit old school).

I love the campaign being a lot like GE and PD. You don't see FPS games like that anymore. I enjoy using stealth to a degree and picking off the right guys at the right time then going crazy on the rest. Now it is just run and gun!!! Take cover! and gun! and gun! :P

PS - I always loved Syberia in TS2 :)

The only issue with TS1 and TS2 is how they rely on auto aim and don't have crosshairs. This makes this extremely easy to anybody who has been playing FPSs this gen.

I bought a used copy of TS2 to relive the glory days a few months back and I was shocked at how easy it was. I never remembered it being so easy.

Yeah, I really miss the style where it was more secret-agenent-ey. Nowadays it's all about being a soldier or a super soldier. I miss the days where you didn't just shoot, but you walk into the complex, wearing a disguise. Then you hack the vault before the guy that you're desguised as shows up, and then high tail it out of there before sh*t gets hairy. So much more creative and exciting than just "kill everybody."

I don't remember TS2 having no crosshairs. Did it not? And honestly I don't remember PD64 or TS2 and TS3 using crazy auto aim. Godleney 64 definitely did. Either way, they could change this in a remake. Also, I remember missions on hard being SUPER hard. TS2 had some crazy tough ones.

Agreed. And not to get too off topic here, but when Red Steel was announced (for Wii) I was excited at the possobility. Then when you play it you realize that it is like every other FPS where every bad guy knows where you are at all times. You walk into a room silently and they are all staring at you :P.

Absolutely loved Timesplitters 1 and 2. Had 1 on PS2 and got 2 on Xbox. Just incredible games. Future Perfect was ok...it was nice that it was online on XBL. I would love a new Timesplitters and an HD remake of the other 2.

The only issue I see is if they actually do rerelease this in HD, they also need to make sure the online is good in today's standards. If they do that it will be awesome!

i bought goleneye 007 when it was released i rented perfect dark when it was released just felt like a 007 goldeneye reskinned with **** maps to me so i didnt buy it.

Ucasuals

......

...........

I don't even know where to begin. BUT I WILL TRY! :P

  1. co-op campaign
  2. MUCH smarter AI
  3. better controls / less auto aim
  4. bots with TONS of options
  5. multiplayer challenges
  6. many more guns
  7. secondary functions on guns
  8. voice acting
  9. more multiplayer features
  10. Customizable weaponsets
  11. better graphics
  12. the list goes on and on

I will say that I prefer the maps in Goldeneye, but other than that, PD takes the cake.

  1. Disarming
  2. reload animations
  3. tons of new guns and secondary functions
  4. bots with changeable difficulty and personality types
  5. co-op

None of these are considered gameplay? Anyone who has played both games knows that Perfect Dark was way ahead of Goldeneye. I can understand liking the setting of GOldeneye more, but other than that everything is worse.
