Titanfall 2 Announced!

Publisher Electronic Arts and developer Respawn Entertainment dropped the first teaser trailer for Titanfall 2 today, which promises a full reveal of the mech-centric shooter this June.

EA says Titanfall 2's unveiling will happen Sunday, June 12; that's when EA Play, the publisher's E3 replacement event, kicks off.

The original Titanfall was released in 2014, but was console exclusive to Xbox platforms. Respawn co-founder Vince Zampella confirmed a sequel was in development last year and would be multiplatform. Respawn staffers have hinted that the Titanfall sequel would have a more substantial single-player campaign as well as more weapon variety. While EA and Respawn haven't announced a release date for Titanfall 2, there have been hints that it could hit in 2016.

A Titanfall spinoff game for mobile devices is slated to arrive sometime this year, thanks to Respawn sister studio Particle City.

Titanfall 2 will be available on PlayStation 4, Windows PC and Xbox One.

I'm pretty excited for that. I still play the original from time to time. Hopefully Titanfall 2 has a great, well developed story. Because if it doesn't the series will lose it's AAA status here on Gamespot.

Looking forward to this. Loved it when it debuted on Xbox One! I know the cows said they didn't want the game anyway, and that it flop bombed. That's too bad, because they will miss out not buying it. You really should reconsider it! It's awesome baby!

COD with mechs. wastage of time

PSers don't want this game.....at least that's the feeling I got when they talked about the first game.

Looking forward to it, hopefully they'll improve a lot of on the first one. Definitely will be an X1 purchase for me.

I hope it is better than the last one. I enjoyed it initially then after about a few weeks I stopped playing it, while only going back when all the maps were free for a few plays.

If this sequel has an actual campaign this time it looks like I'll finally care about 'Titanfall'. No interest in trash multiplayer.

The asking price might've been too high on release, but the gameplay is the bee's knees.

Absolutely destroyed the current shooters of that time for me.

Thankfully, from the news i've heard, the sequel will have more content out of the box.

Like minions/creeps in a MOBA, they were never intended to be substitutes for the players.

Good stuff, glad the 1st game was so successful on Xbox One and is now getting a wider release, a new IP success story.

So this fall, if my predictions are correct, I'll be playing at least Halo 5, Gears of War 4, TF2.....3 very distinct shooters, maybe one of the best years for me!

I have been playing it weekly up until February of this year (and I got it on day 1). LULZ. Nice try though. Got it on PC finally last month though. Try harder.

Yup same here. I sure enjoy TF more more than the latest COD release, Black Ops 3. It's such an easy game to get into. The sounds are amazing. It's pretty much the best mech game on console this gen so far, though I would love to get a true full on mech game out. I would easily add serious hours into that too.

If it has single player story mode, I would consider getting it.

Great, loved the first game. I think people will come to appreciate it more once their done shitting on it for its association with Xbox. Plus, I'm sure the developers must be aware by now to add more grindy features to the MP (like increasingly better weapons/gear unlocks). It sounds so shallow, but it really does effect people's commitment to keep playing.

Personally, I don't mind them having an online PvP campaign, I don't need a single player anything for this. I've come to conclusion recently that MP features in games are a lot of work and it's becoming increasingly difficult to pull off the great SP and great MP in one package like they use to, especially with publisher game-mill mentalities. I'd rather they just focus on making an even better PvP experience. I also don't think anything is wrong with bots, it's like a MOBA some in that respects, people just cherry picking reasons to shit on Xbox but they'll forget when they're enjoying it themselves.

I agree with you entirely. And I know I am in the minority, but I also enjoyed having the AI in the game. I understand why Respawn put them i there and made them "fodder", but I liked it. Especially for new people getting into gaming, it made them enjoy it more. They felt more successful after I dropped a huge kick in their ass, over and over.

well, maybe not, I mean cows are still committed to acting like the first game was so bad that they're not even interested in the sequel, they're gonna fall victim to their own bullshit campaign

Multiplayer without context is a loser each and every time it happens. Let's hope they inject a proper single player to make the multiplayer more interesting.
