@R4gn4r0k: yeah, I know what you mean, I remember being addicted to games like Counter-Strike for a long time, the only reward then was the euphoric response good win from good teamwork, good competition. In many ways though these games of today aren't for those that don't put in the time to be good or to work toward that competitive edge through strong familiarity with games. In this modern mutation of games toward progression it ensures that even a modestly skilled player can achieve some level of reward from engaging with it, which doesn't just benefit the individual but actually has the benefit of helping grow the gaming communities. Plus, back when I was into Counter-Strike, that was a day when I only needed to go out and find a decent online game to play once in a blue moon, and those who played the online portions of games tended to just be those people who were really interested in such games. Now it seems like every game has an MP feature that attracts a lot of causal players, many who I imagine don't want to put in that kind of dedication that makes it like super competitive Counter-Strike. And that's fine by me, I like a nice competitive game sometimes and other times I like to sit back and enjoy it like it's just another game of GoldenEye 64 with me and my boys back in the day. These games despite their casual appeal can often still appeal to a competitive league of gamers. Titanfall is no different, I'd even imagine given its responsive design and solid mechanics that this game is very well suited for competitive style gaming.
Anyhow, I wouldn't know about any player issues from launch, I got my Xbox One in late 2014 when the Definitive Edition for Titanfall and all it's DLC went for like $12.50 or something like that. I liked what was there though.
