TitanFall's Hype makes no sense.

In what will possibly my first as I can remember and last post even mentioning Titanfall in a post, the popularity and Hype of this game is very very high, and the fact that Titanfall has not even been pushed with the hype, and the fact there are concerns over it makes this popularity most confusing. PC gamers, PS4 gamers, Steam users want a piece of the game with extra content. Many people in other countries showered the game with rewards, it won all the rewards at E3 practically.

And yet the game is basically MAG with mechs.

A limited content multiplayer MAG with COD features and no SP? And people are excited for this game? People put more hype on this game then the developers put out information trying to push the game. Even the devs were thinking the game would be hard to market because it is an online only experience.

Yet that is not stopping this game from still getting traction in massive hype. This game is clearly going to backfire and be a mess unless you have injected yourself with a powerful hallucinogen or became mentally disabled after trying to break a wall with your head because you though it would work, or some other line of complete insanity.

The game is about to be released and the game is not even in the final stages yet and the ship date has not even been set. I honestly have no idea what to say to the people excited. All the games coming out and you want his game? Ok that's all I have to say. It's clearly going to screw up, all the signs are there, i could almost say it's an actual fact it will. Bookmark this page if you want to. Game is getting attention it did not even try to get and everyone wants this game and is excited for it for almost no real reason.

@Jakandsigz: Titanfall is not MAG. MAG wasn't good. A huge lagfest with gamers running around like madmen shooting everything is sight. The hype for Titanfall started at the E3 last year and has continued ever since. At every show after the E3 the hype got a little bigger. The fact that their are about 7 threads about the game on the front of SW tells us gamers are interested in talking about it, whether it's good or bad. Gamers who hate it, still want to talk about it for some reason. The same thing was happening with KZ:SF, CoD & BF4 before those games launched.

Supposedly it's a game you have to play to understand how much fun it is. Watching videos is one thing, but playing it is something else. I don't know though, I'm not interested in the game.

That being said, whether this is your first thread on the topic of Titanfall or the last, could this not have been said in another one of the numerous Titanfall threads you can see on the first page of this forum?

Urgh, comparing it to MAG...do you actually have any idea how clueless you sound? "Ship date has not even been set" March 11th in NA, 13th in Europe/Aus, 14th in the UK. And are people seriously still fucking moaning about it being multiplayer only?

NEWS FLASH: Nobody buys CoD, or Battlefield or most FPS games for their singleplayer.

Now before the "I like singleplayer" "I played those games singleplayer modes" defense force appears, yes, I know you did. But did you throw down £40 to play a shitty 4 hour singleplayer campaign? No you didn't (unless you're mad), the value in those games comes from their multiplayer modes.

People are tired of COD...but OMG TITANFALL!!!

What I don't understand is that everyone on here shits on COD. Yet Titanfall is made by the same people who made Modern Warfare 2, arguably the most hated COD on this forum (at least it was). Why would you be excited for this if you don't like COD? It looks exactly the same.

If you spent some time in the real world you would know that nobody gives a shit about this game. All the hype exists on internet forums and gaming sites. Destiny is the next big thing. Way more hits on youtube, websites outside of gaming, facebook, twitter, more pre orders, more people at college, pubs etc talk about it.

I like how everyone straight up ignores that ANYONE who's played TitanFall has had nothing but good things to say. Every journalist, and even every gamer like you and me who had hands on time said it was awesome. So not a single person has yet to dislike it, but all of the internet people who haven't played it are in an up-roar?
